Interim Praise Report
Praise God! Hallelujah!
I want to give God an interim praise report because, although my testimony is still unfolding, He has already shown Himself faithful.
For about 12 years, I have prayed and worked toward relocating to the city where I believed God was leading me. This has been a long journey filled with preparation, disappointment, perseverance, and unwavering faith. I seemed like it was never going to happen.
Recently, I had the privilege of participating in commencement for my master's program in the very city where I have long desired to live and be fruitful. During this process, I was also waiting on the outcome of a financial aid appeal that came with 3 denials and an overwhelming process that required a lot of pushback and fighting. This approval would provide the resources needed to help transition my children and me into this next chapter; yet I kept getting denied.
During a counseling session a few weeks ago, I was on a time crunch and only had three days to figure out an answer on whether or not I should return back home or extend my stay to start planning my life in the city that Iāve always wanted to be in . Well, Bishop Kevin Foreman shared that there were three possible outcomes to my appeal: God could say "yes," God could say "no," or there could be something in the middle. At that time, I had been told I would have to wait two to three weeks for an answer.
Instead, the next day after prayer, I received my decision.
While the amount approved wasn't everything I had hoped for, but it was a clear reminder that God was moving.
Since then, the remaining portions of the appeal have continued moving through the approval process, and I am now simply waiting for everything to be finalized.
Even more exciting, God has opened doors professionally that I have prayed about for years.
I have received 2 job offers:
A part-time leadership teaching position at my university.
A year-long leadership training and executive development opportunity that includes a sign-on bonus to help me transition my family as I prepare to relocate.
These opportunities represent more than employment: they represent answered prayer, confirmation, and the beginning of the next chapter God has been preparing me for.
The story is not over yet. There are still pieces, logistics, and final approvals that I am believing God to complete.
But today, I refuse to wait until every chapter is written before I give thanks and praise!
Today, I praise Him because He has already begun.
This testimony is still unfolding, and I cannot wait to see what God does next.
