The brightest star Delta Capricorn is in the goat's tail. Also known as Deneb Algedi it is a four-star system with an eclipse that can be seen with the naked eye.
Capricorn represents a creature that is a blend of fish and goat. The Greeks associate the constellation with Pan, the god of nature. Some associate Capricorn with Amalthaea, the mythical goat that acted as a foster mother to Zeus as an infant.

Sagittarius’ brightest stars form an asterism known as the Teapot. Sagittarius is represented as a centaur, aiming an arrow toward the heart of Scorpio.
In Babylonian mythology, Sagittarius is associated with the centaur-like god Nergal, and depicted with two heads – one human and one panther.

Scorpio contains the giant red star Antares, the so-called “rival of Mars”. It also hosts Shaula and Lesath, sometimes called the "Cat's Eyes" because they are so close together.
In Hawaii, it is known as the demigod Maui's Fishhook. In Chinese mythology, the constellation was part of the Azure Dragon. Scorpius and Orion are often intertwined in Greek mythology.

The brightest star in the Libra constellation is Zubeneschamali or Beta Librae. The second brightest stars are Alpha Librae, also called Zubenelgenubi ("southern claw"), a binary star located 77 light-years from Earth  and Gamma Librae, an orange giant.
It’s known in Babylonian astronomy as MUL Zibanu (the "scales" or "balance"), or alternatively as the Claws of the Scorpion. It was also seen as the Scorpion's Claws in ancient Greece.

The Virgo constellation is the second largest constellation in the night sky. Its brightest star is Spica, whose name means "ear of grain." Virgo contains 11 Messier objects, only a few that can be seen with the naked eye.
In Greek mythology, Virgo is associated with Persephone. In Ancient Syria, Virgo takes after Atargatis, the corn goddess.
