I don't know why Brussels sprouts got such a bad rep. They're absolutely delicious. In this picture I braised them with olive and avocado oil and sprinkled them with paprika, salt and pepper. I didn't have enough leftover homemade spinach tagliatelle for two so I mixed them with gluten free sweet potato noodles in soy sauce. May I present my first homemade fresh pasta! I spent my entire Sunday night trying to get the texture right. Trial and error, but I finally got it right. These tagliatelle were made with spinach, garlic, T45 organic flour, red quinoa and eggs. This is the second time I've used braised green cabbage in one of my food experiments and I have to say that it really adds taste without overpowering the rest of your food. Anyhow, this little experiment was everything I hoped for with the colder days coming up. Filling without being heavy, and colorful. Not to mention it's also quite pleasing for the meat eaters. So what do we have : a meaty veggie burger, braised cabbage, red rice, broccoli, a nori/ avocado sauce that gave it a hint of salty sea flavor, and pine-nuts for its wooden taste.
