Looking forward to visiting Sonic Fan Fest at the weekend - the cool blue one has been one of my core geeky passions since I was a youngling, thanks largely to the UK's Sonic the Comic, published by Fleetway Editions between 1993 and 2002.
STC was the UK's official SEGA comic, featuring a unique continuity of stories and characters inspired by the Megadrive/Genesis games, as well as other strips based on the Sega superstars of the day. It also included magazine features with news, reviews, and tips for games released for Sega systems.
No surprise really then that I owe a lot of my current creative endevours to that publication, and here is my pitch for a reference title that I put together back in the day to celebrate the stories and characters I grew up on and that inspired me - and a shout out to the elder UK millennials that know what I'm banging on about!
At this Wibbly Wobbly time, here's a hop in the Tardis, back to a poster I made in the way back of 2013!
My hot take is that what was true then remains the same today... that change is hard but that this is a story that is always changing...
I choose to put my (Artron) energy into thinking about the next (re)generation of creatives out there who grew up on the 2005 of it all, who have been, continue to and will be inspired to create incredible things for the show and the fandom...
Even beyond the Blue Box, I'm intrigued to see what wider geeky landscape Whovians will end up cultivating for the next generation of creative minds… the timeless children are just waiting in the wings, coming someday soon to claim the next era of nerdery!
June is busting out all over, and that means it's time to start letting people know about Merton Pride 2026, on Sat 5th September!
At Mitcham Carnival over the weekend, myself and the other volunteers from Merton Plus started spreading the good word about our celebrations, through experiential collateral materials, including stickers, T-shirts, banners and signage at our stall - all designed by me, bringing TTL Campaign assets together into a cohesive branding package, as you do!
More to come over the coming months, and hope to see some locals joining us for the festivities at the end of summer season!
Out on shelves now, Toy Story Treasury of Characters was put together by the incredible team at Studio Noel, based on styling by Sunita Gahir and with a whole host of creatives types behind the scenes, including myself project managing, art directing and sourcing images for the designers developing the spreads and the cover!
It's a wonderful celebration of the movies so far, including content from the soon to be released Toy Story 5, and I hope there's something in there for everyone to enjoy from the newest fans to the OG crowd who've enjoyed these characters from the very beginning!

The visual history coffee table book arrives in November.
Trekmovie.com has a first look at some spreads from the upcoming opus that is Star Trek Timelines, showcasing my styling for the project! It's exciting to see my work manifesting in working spreads and I'm looking forward to seeing more later in the year!

Myself, and all the many creative minds that had a hand in working on this project, did a fantastic job showcasing the rich world created for the show and it's a brilliant primer ahead of seeing the exploits of the clan of two on the big screen!
Out now from DK comes Star Wars: The Mandalorian Handbook which I designed the styling for and put together the spread layouts - it's a bumper crop of characters, creatures and locations from the series so far, lots of cool images to see from the show's rich world - hope the younglings in your life find some interesting facts in it's pages!
With Mando and Grogu's theatrical debut fast approaching, here's a peek back into the archives for a glimpse at Star Wars: The Mandalorian Handbook, which I worked on back in the day!
A more digestible title for the younglings than the traditional Visual Guide, but no less exciting to design and layout - this is the way!
With the latest in the series of Astrophysics for Supervillains now out in the multiverse, illustrated by the incredible talent that is Nathan Reed, I wanted to highlight the work on series styling that evolved when I took on project managing the second book in the series.
Nathan did a fantastic job of developing the book's titles, typography and the series' iconic mascot character. He took on my art direction over the years to strike a fantastic balance between cohesive and distinct covers, and it was a delight to see his work cropping up in my inbox every time!
Out now in stores is Chris Packham's Nature is the answer, Illustrated by the very talented Connor Nolan!
Its amazing to see a fellow Chris, Mr Packham, promoting the book I was involved with last year, but it's worth noting that while a cover like this might look deceptively simple at first glance, there is a lot of work behind the scenes to get to a finished cover illustration.
Lots of initial concepts that didn't quite make it, avenues explored and ultimately rejected, and even once settled on a chosen idea, there were many opportunities to refine and polish the work into the final product.
Connor was a absolute superstar throughout the process and I'm so grateful to him being able to put up with all my diva demands - I hope both author and illustrator are as pleased with the results as I am!

For those who celebrate MAY 4th, here is a peek into my very own Scarif vault, to look at the cover development I worked on for DK and lucasfilm's "Star Wars Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide"
The book covered the fertile period of the saga from the rise of the Empire, through to the events leading up to Rogue One. There was plenty of content from the Obi-Wan Kenobi show, and a little up and coming project called Andor within its pages...
Surfice to say, I had way too much fun channelling a spy novel aesthetic initially, which eventully evolved into the final striking orange published cover!
I have a lot of love for all the Star Wars projects I've been involved with over the years, for lots of different reasons, but this one is probably my favourite of the visual guides I've worked on, in no small part due to the opportunity to really explore some interesting routes for the cover design!
So, here's to the next gen of Star Wars Cover designers, somewhere out there in a galaxy far, far away - and May the 4th be with you!
Cover reveal time! I was developing this with the interstellar Mark Ecob at the end of 2025, fascinating to see it in all it's glory now - I can't wait to see the finished product later in the year!
