it seems like kiner did most if not all of s1/2 soundtracks by himself, but for 3 and 4 they hired like… 2 more composers. (if anyone has corroborating info that would be sick) but that would definitely explain a lot of things. increase in different themes, different instrumentations - lots more percussion, for example, and strings, less horns though

Nope. Kevin has always had additional composers working with him, even as far back as Clone Wars season 1.

Matthew St. Laurent (All the way through mid season 1 Clone Wars to season 4 Rebels)

Takeshi Furukawa (All the way though mid season 1 Clone Wars to the show’s end)

Russ Howard III (Worked on a few season 2 Clone Wars episodes)

David Glen Russell (Joined on The Zillo Beast Strikes Back and continued through Rebels to the new Clone Wars episodes in production)

Reuven Herman (Worked on Clone Wars from season 4 to the show’s end and Rebels partway through season 3 to the show’s end)

Jared Forman (Worked on Rebels seasons 1-3)

The Kiner Brothers (Kevin’s sons); Sean & Dean Kiner (Sean started on Rebels season 2 while Dean joined with Twilight of the Apprentice. Both worked through to the the show’s end)

From the quarter-mark onwards, there’s no sense of sadness. There is only a sense of “I miss you, come back home, my love.”

Anyone knows what episode number this track is attached to?

This was the only one to not have an episode number in the file name, 413 (A World Between Worlds) for Kanan’s End Credits & 415 (part 1 of Family Reunion – and Farewell) for Sabine Sees Ezra, but for Hera at the wall the only clue we have is that the album tag is filled as "Kevin Kiner The Outpost Demo" so while there is no episode with that title, it was likely a title used during production. I honestly cannot wait to hear these in context!

Also, to everyone crediting these to Kevin Kiner, the Kiner Brothers website is owned Sean and Dean, Kevin’s two sons so they are their compositions, but no one ever credits any of the additional music composers unfortunately even if the music is from their websites which clearly make no mention of Kevin!

It’s called “End Credits”

Because, it contains the credits to the makers, and it’s shown at the end of an episode/movie.

It’s NEVER called just “Credits”, because there’s also a thing called “Title Credits”, shown right after the title screen.

All this because some idiot on Reddit removed “Credits” from the track title and didn’t correct it for AGES. Everyone still seem to have missed it and think it confirms Kanan’s Death... While the music is emotional, it’ll score the credits of the episode not any specific scene as everyone is wildly speculating, so if Kanan were to die this wont accompany it. Based on the episode number in the file name “413“, it will be the credits cue for A World Between Worlds.

HoM Part 1 Ending Soundtrack

Not the usual Star Wars Rebels theme.

What is that track?

It’s like Ahsoka Leaves (The Wrong Jedi) and Binary Sunrise (Twin Suns), they obviously didn’t want the usual theme to instantly take the viewer out of the very emotional scene. I find this to be much better as it helps make the episodes unique as it allows the emotion to carry on for the rest of the episode’s duration, instead of it being killed the instant the theme starts.

A word about Kevin Kiner

Fuckin genius. Okay that’s two words but anyway the Kevin Kiner Rave That Nobody Asked For:

This is the guy who wrote the Clone wars and rebels tv show music and I have been listening to Rebels season two nonstop and let me tell you there are some good ass easter eggs in there

1. Ezra and Leia: FREAKING LEIA’S THEME RIGHT THERE IN FRONT OF YOU THANK YOU VERY MUCH

2. Best Pilot in the galaxy: HAN SOLO/MILLENNIUM FALCON FLYING SEQUENCE MUSIC EVEN THOUGH HE’S NOT EVEN IN THE SERIES I suspect this is a scene with Lando or Wedge either way its a space ship scene and i loved the use of the theme

3. Journey into the star cluster: so this one didn’t have any references as far as I know but holy HELL it’s probably my favorite piece in the whole album it sounds like a possible sextet of orchestra instruments

4. Chopper’s Inside info: I SEE YOU KINER THAT WAS THAT MARCH OF THE RESISTANCE PIECE IN A DIFFERENT KEY YOU SLY DOG

5. Zeb Rock: just…what?

6. Your master has deceived you: YOU KNOW THIS IS THE VADER SCENE BECAUSE THAT IS SOME INTENSE IMPERIAL MARCH RIGHT THERE

7. Twin Moons: this piece is just really pretty

8. Blinded: DUEL OF FATES DUEL OF FATES DUEL OF FATES

9. A master and an apprentice: THERE’S THE IMPERIAL MARCH AGAIN GOD BLESS

10. Anakin and Ashoka: Just. fuck. This killed me. its so CREEPY LIKE AH THIS SCENE WITH THIS MUSIC SHOT ME IN THE HEART

11. Can’t protect Ezra forever: so first of all who gave you the right to name a piece this and second of all at the very end are two notes repeated and it sounds like Rey’s theme and I’m very curious what the tie there is what are you hiding Kiner

12. Kanan and Hera: just bless this for existing

that’s all I’ve got for now I just have a lot of respect for composers who have to take music already made and make it their own while still paying homage to some beautiful pieces like he uses the brass just like Williams would and AH I LOVE IT now i have to do English home work fuck

Well, #11 is composed by Matthew St Laurent and the original cue title was “Kanan Knighted”, which was changed for its release on StarWars.com and then was subsequently used for the soundtrack release.

The last 3 minutes of this episode will either make you emotional or brake you down to tears 😭 but the Music is what makes all the difference. And of course there is this great moment between these 2. Please treat yourself and watch this episode it’s the best of the series and yes better than the S2 finale.

The music from that scene has already been released! Best episode for me is still Relics of the Old Republic; it’s great seeing the Clones take on AT-ATs in an old ATTE.

How has Sam & Dan Watts’ score to The Sarah Jane Adventures never had an official soundtrack release!? Just hearing this music has me in tears remembering the series... Thankfully the (last 3) series had a 5.1 sound mix so the music is extract-able in excellent quality.

@pep-no I’ve just discovered that the first cue in “Ezra Meets the Team” from the Rebels series 1 soundtrack is Chopper’s Theme from Rebels Recon! Sorry if this is something that was already known but I’d been searching for the track for ages and I had it all along...! (Well, since the soundtrack was released) So glad I’ve now found the most common theme for Chopper (does he even have an actual theme in the show?), I know feel better about this soundtrack knowing there’s at-least 1 track for Chopper, even if he wasn’t even in the original scene the music scored.
