“Yes, I’m pretty sure. I made it myself. You did ask for tea, right, miss?” Max could have completely been mistaken. It wasn’t normal for her to go around making things for other people, but after spending a few days here, it seemed like she always saw the same faces despite the fact that this was a hotel. If she was going to live here too, then she had to get to know some people.

“Okay, for fuck’s sake. You saw me make it. Cyanide free.”

“It was a joke, I didn’t touch that.”

Absolutely.  I’ve been told that it tastes like Heaven before, but nobody I’ve cooked for has ever made it there from my food.

Why would I do that?  I’m a chef, I’m testing out a new recipe, and it’s better to get other people’s opinions on it.

“Damn, you caught me.”

“ are you sure you’re not trying to poison me? even though it wouldn’t work... “

“Thank you. So tell me,  how are you darling? Long time no see.”

“Jesus, Peter Pan, think about it. Who wouldn’t want to know?“
