siobhan mcdougal was dead and had been for over a decade when kennedy was born. how they were born, no one knows. how a dead woman could give birth was an unanswerable question, especially since that same dead woman had been reanimated into the silver banshee, a villain with deadly vocal chords. immediately after they were born, the silver banshee disappeared, leaving little kennedy in the hands of their uncle beven. their origins were kept a secret from kennedy as they grew up, beven not wanting to worry a young child about something that may not even have any effect on them. growing up in ireland, kennedy lived a pretty normal life as some would call it. that is, until they realized at 12 that they could manipulate sound. beven had no clue what other effects their motherâs new condition could of had on kennedy and immediately withdrew them from school, homeschooling them until they finally graduated. beven lied to kennedy about their abilities, telling them their mother was a mutant, the only one in the family and thatâs where they got their abilities from. they believed that for years until the day of their eighteenth birthday, the silver banshee appeared. finding out that beven had lied about kennedyâs origins, the silver banshee attacked him, leaving him to die in kennedyâs arms. in this moment, beven finally revealed that the silver banshee was their mother and that he had tried to keep them safe but the curse may come for them too. kennedy was shook by this experience, their world was just a bunch of lies and they didnât really know what to do. they spent months coming to terms with what their life was turning into before starting to actually live again. they tried to embrace their abilities, using them to hone their natural musical talents. thatâs what brought them to paragon, their musical program and also their intrigue about what america is all about since itâs always talked up so much.Â
