so, I've had quite the art journey

The first one was drawn in 2011. I had only just picked up drawing at 17 and the whole process was so daunting but I was practicing regularly.

The second was drawn in 2014 and I had progressed a little. I was developing my own style and it had become easier to attempt anatomy and colouring.

The third one was drawn a couple of days ago, and my style has changed drastically. It's a long story but after around the time of the second drawing I returned to art after a long break and it almost seemed like starting over again. I had to relearn some things and through doing that I arrived at the style I draw with now. I'm happy about it!

I really enjoyed it! I was skeptical at first, as what I was seeing on twitter was majorly negative responses. After seeing it I was baffled at how overly negative the reaction was because I thought it was a great finale.

Though having said that, it was obvious just from the poster that Jax was going to be the main focus, which initially disappointed me as there were other characters that could have done with more screentime imo.

However I think it was very well done. Learning more about him and why he is the way he is. Also, I loved Ribbit! Such a great character, I wish we'd gotten more of her - Kaufmo too. I loved the scene with them in her bedroom, how Jax opened up to her so easily and obviously trusted and valued her so much. Made her abstraction all the more painful and frustrating. I felt so bad for her during their argument.

There were so many emotional moments. For some reason one of the scenes that sticks out to me that I find a bit eery is the quick cut to Jax's abrstraction. The rest of the cast just watching his abstracted state walking around, all of them with an almost defeated energy. Also that moment happened really quickly into the episode. I had read some spoilers before going in, and thought Jax's abstraction would have happened near the end as a kind of climax, but it happened very early.

I was also not expecting to learn so much about the irl versions of the characters so that was really cool! Kind of bizzare too. It was nice to see them all doing so well, and for the gang to get to see that for themselves, considering how upsetting it was for them to know they are in fact digital copies.
