Porrim had considered it long before the game. Despite her being a more sexually minded individual than many of her peers, she wasnāt actually that much more sexually active, just tended to have it on her mind. The fact the Aranea tended to pick up on those signals intrigued her more than anything, and sheād often see how she could push buttons to trigger a reaction. This often lest Aranea at a loss for words, and Porrim pressing for more.
Mindfang was initially a creation of Araneaās on Beforus, a mary sue through which she acted on certain romantic inclinations, and can be traced to each of the people sheās ever been interested in. Cronusā overbearing, forceful nature had a certain amount of appeal, but his actual personality drove her off, hence Dualscar being, largely, a villain. She was sexually attracted to Rufioh, but found him equally disinteresting on a personal level, hence setting their romance far, far in the future, hoping maybe heād mature to her level. Porrim represented something beyond her grade, a creature of grace and beauty she believed outside her reach. It was the reason Mindfang took it greedily, and imagined that eventually sheād turn toward her. As she got older, into the actual game, she began to regret this, rewriting their relationship to have a more tragic retelling. (Hello, Fanon representation.)
The two of them had their first ādallianceā during the game when Meenah and Arenea were sort of flirting in Meenahās cagey, armās distance sort of way. It would up tearing Aranea up something fierce, feeling like Meenah was kinda fucking with her. Porrim went to her side in a legitimate gesture of friendship, and actually rejected Araneaās advances in the initial stages, wanting to make sure she didnāt take advantage of Aranea, and make sure Aranea didnāt use her as a rebound.The second time was some time later, still in the game but after the game had ended and they were stuck in the session. It happened in Araneaās world, which was covered in many, many spiders, and Porrim managed to find herself caught up in a web when Aranea, embracing her Mindfang inclinations, came to her aid. Afterward, with the spiders slain, Porrim made some manner of offhanded comment about preferring dinner before getting tied up. This prompted Aranea to pounce.

The two wound up spending a great deal of time together before The Tumor together, opting to do random, generally pointless adventuring together, since the game ended in failure, they felt they should make the best of whatever time they had left. This would often result in long conversations regarding politics and literature, since the two often found riffing with one another was remarkably easy.
Porrimās greatest envy was how well read and innately brilliant Aranea was. Porrim is no slouch in either extent, but Aranea is justā¦ a beacon. Meanwhile, Porrim was much more emotionally in tune than Aranea, and she was jealous that as an empathic, she was less likely to pick up on subtle cues than her.
Their fights, infrequent though they were, were almost entirely wordless, a series of gestures and body language and subtle behaviors that only the two of them would pick up on. Anyone nearby wouldnāt understand why, but theyād get a distinct sense of dread, partially from Araneaās empathic impression of anger, and the fact that Porrim, ever smiling and warm, was anything but.
When Porrim died and became a Rainbow Drinker, Aranea wept for two days, even well after Porrim came back to life.
Once they had all died properly, Aranea was the first to awaken in the Dream Bubbles. One of the most physically painful things to her was all the times that sheād run into a Porrim that didnāt realize theyād died. Especially when she found Alpha timeline Porrim, who didnāt know for sweeps.
Between pirates and spiders, Porrim was not afraid to tell Aranea that her fixation on bondage was a little on the nose. Aranea didnāt care.
Aranea really liked the vampirism.
