- DAZAI WOULD BE TOO OBVIOUS, IT WOULDN'T BE A TWIST, IT WOULD BE ANNOYING AND PREDICTABLE AND WOULDN'T REALLY ADD ANYTHING NEW TO THE PLOT OR HIS CHARACTER (Just had to say that rq)

- Since part 1 of BSD mainly focused on the ADA, it's only logical to assume that part 2 will focus on the PM (it's inner workings, ranking system, missions & trades, just in general lore), and Atsushi being the transfer would allow for us to fully explore that concept since he IS the main character

- maybe he'll have more screen time in his own show!!!!

- Atsushi is the main character, meaning that him going to the PM would be a HUGE DEAL.

- Aktugawa and Atsushi's relationship has been built up since the beginning of BSD and has definitely turned a new leaf in this latest arc, and Atsushi going to the PM would be the obvious step in deeping their bond and allowing their partnership to take centre stage

- If we are to assume that the (most likely) cliffhanger at the end of chapter 130 is infact the PM transfer, then I really don't see how it could be anyone else. I mean, Dazai is still stuck in FRANCE and most likely won't even be there physically 😭. So if we remove Dazai from the equation then it's obviously Atsushi because there's no set up for anyone else. (Okay turns out the cliffhanger was Atsushi getting sent to FUCKING LONDON, but my point still stands about Dazai not having any relevancy)

- To elaborate on what I mean by "set up" is; over these last chapters we've been focusing on Atsushi. We've seen him overcome his struggles and insecurities and has finally been able to accept himself and move on from the director. No one else in the agency has had any spotlight, so it would just be completely out of the blue for them to be choosen with LITERALLY NO BUILD UP WHAT SO EVER, the reveal wouldn't be satisfying and just leaves you scratching your head (And even though i'd also love for tanikazi to be the transfer, he too has has no build up). Honestly, the same goes for dazai. His appearance in Chapter 129 was his first appearance in A YEAR. Is he just going to arrive at the airport and just be told "oh btw ur the transfer" ?? Like NO that's just so random. So it makes the most narrative sense for it to be Atsushi (Sorry for the rant, but I just can't stress this point enough)

- Atsushi going to the PM would be the ultimate test on his morals, will he be able to uphold his values? Or will he inevitably have to take a life on a mission? The possibilities are endless

- just, SSKK. Sskk going on missions together, being partners in the same organisation, them truly becoming the new soukoku, and them just.. being SSKK. <3

- While in the mafia, he would have to relearn how to fight with his ability since he won't have fukuzawas ability to help control the tiger (i know he already sorta tamed her in Dead Apple but I still think he would need some practice or training to truly master it, especially if he's using it for more violent acts).

- PM!Atsushi is one step closer to canon cannibal-Atsushi and I will take it gladly.

- ON THAT NOTE BEAST PARALLELS!!!!!!!!!

- Think of all the relationships/dynamics Atsushi could have; him and Chuuya will FINALLY interact (perhaps Dazai asked Chuuya to look out for him?? Skk crumbs :)). Maybe Atsushi will train under Kouyo? That'd be fun. I am a firm believer that Gin and Atsushi would be besties. Him having a dynamic with Higguchi would be the best thing ever. God I don't even want to THINK about mori.!!! Ohhh and maybe even Verlaine will train Atsushi!?!? Ohhh the beef if Chuuyas there will be crazyyyy

- but on the other side of the coin, think about all the people he will leave behind, think about how Kyouka would feel, losing her brother to the place he saved her from. Think about the agency members blaming fukuzawa for making the deal in the first place (and ranpo having to defend him despite his own grievances). Think about Yodano feeling guilty that she was the one who wasn't made an option. Think about Tanizaki being outraged at the Mafia and also feeling tricked because he offered to be the transfer but they ignored him. Lastly, think about Dazai, think about the pain, and no doubt blaming himself for Atsushi, his STUDENT, being chosen instead of him. He'd be a spiralling mess, trying to figure out what went wrong and why mori chose Atsushi instead of his beloved demon prodigy and the hate he must feel for Mori and his decision. THE ANGST GUYES THINK OF THE ANGST

- Speaking of mori, him choosing Atsushi would be such a power move, not only because Atsushi is strong and can be easily manipulated into becoming his next weapon, but because of the message it would send, specifically to Dazai. By doing this, he would show that he still has control over Dazais life, that even if he's in or out of the mafia, he'll always lose what he loves. It would be yet another cruel and twisted punishment, and Dazai would know it's because he left the PM and now he's paying the price for it.

- Asagiri also said he'd like to explore Kunikida and Dazais relationship more, and yeah if Dazais the transfer then he could definitely create some angst for the two but I think it'd be much for interesting if we get to see them working together to try and help Atsushi. While I don't personally ship Kunizai, I'd still love to see more of their relationship and partnership. <3

- also like I said in my first point, Dazai being choosen wouldn't be interesting as we've already seen him in the mafia, even if he decides not to kill like Oda, it's still very limiting story wise . But, it would also make Mori look very simple-minded, like yeah, ofc he'd choose his ex-executive to return, no shit, even if its a stupid move for his safety. BUT if he chose Atsushi it'd be such an interesting and cool play, showing that he definitely has many plans up his sleeve and knows exactly what he's doing. (And if Dazai is the transfer then itd be very hard to justify learning more about the mafia since dazai already KNOWS everything, so why bother teaching us stuff he already knows?.)

- Also Atsushi would slay dark clothes (as proven in BEAST) and I must see him animated in them.

- okay!! I've seen some arguments against Atsushi being the transfer because "that's concept was already explored in beast" ,and while that is a fair point, it doesn't have much leg since those two situations are VERY DIFFERENT. In Beast, Atsushi is RAISED in the mafia and has been accustomed to their ways and methods for years. Meanwhile, our Atsushi has only ever killed one person (in self defence) and is DEFINITELY not like a mafioso. That's what makes the idea of Atsushi being the PM transfer so interesting is getting to see him fight his own morals, him having to do things we've never seen/think he can or would do, and (my personal favourite part), seeing him grow accustomed to being mafioso and start to form a somewhat life there (basically becoming apart of the mafia family). So yeah, him joining wouldn't be boring because we haven't seen this specific concept before, we've only seen Beast, which is very different. :D

- and don't mind Atsushi being in London he'll probably be back in no time, and I wouldn't be suprised if mori is just waiting for him like "Welcome back and welcome to the Port Mafia ;D <3!!" 😌 (plus it would be a great slap in the face, out of the frying pan and into the oven type shit)

i'm convinced if chuuya was a girl, kouyou would train her to be similar to her, like kyouka.

Homura's weird and mysterious but still a reliable ally letting Kyoko crash at her place, and weirdly nice to just hang out with despite her stiffness. She understands the harsh reality of being a Magical Girl and seems pretty sensible aside from that, so Homura's her favorite.

Sayaka is aggravating and stubborn and brave and resilient, reminding Kyoko a little too much of who she used to be and dredging up all these complicated feelings she thought she buried. Kyoko wants to beat her blueberry ass down into the ground, but Sayaka's her favorite.

Quick emergency post incoming. Y'all have probably already seen the news, but I also wanted to make a short little dedicated post to add to this information. It was recently announced that the plushie line Kurmitapinui will be releasing a Future Diary collection! Which includes not only our titular characters, but others like Nishijima, Tsubaki and Akise (who haven't gotten their own dedicated merch before!)

What possessed them to do this? No idea! Though this plushie company has a lot of different anime franchises under its belt, it's still surprising they'd make merch of an older show with such little attention at the moment. It might have something to do with acquiring the rights... so hopefully, hopefully we get to see more Future Diary merch come out in the next years.

To add to the information that is already going around, these little beans are currently up for preorder (they release on July of this year). A single plushie is 1100 Yen, or around 7 USD, and the full pack is 6600 Yen, which is around 42 USD (see here for more information). An important thing to note is that these are actually blind box keychains, so you don't get to pick the one you actually want:

Here's an example of a collection. The full pack is also made up of six characters (which explains why they chose to include some of the side characters aside from Yuno and Yukki). My advice is that if you want one in particular you should buy the whole pack, since a full unopened pack is guaranteed to come with all six characters.

I'll be honest... I'm really burnt out from the blind box fad, but hey I'll take what I can get. I never thought we'd get new merch of the series, and on top of that to get representation of characters like Nishijima and Akise is making me hopeful we might see more in the future (perhaps not of this brand though, seeing they cap their collections at six characters I don't think they'll make more). Anyway, if you need me I'll be in the corner of my room freaking out about this.

Sigma meets the executives! Typically, thats unheard of for a new hire, but he's a special case. besides, with his ability, he'll be working closely with them

i've read stormbringer since planning this part out, so i may actually have sigma meet verlaine sometime in the future :)

Chuuya is concerned about Sigma being immediatly brought into a position where he will be collection information off of dead bodies regularly. He doesnt know Sigma well, but knowing Dazai dragged him to the agency was enough to let Chuuya know that mafia work is not what he wants to be doing
