who: anyone! @vengeancearchivesââ where: food donkey
âAh, fuck me,â Will hisses as a can slips from the crook of his elbow, smashing to the ground and knocking over the display of tomato soup cans that heâs just put together. What once was an easy job has now been made annoying by his bandaged hand, and the rest of his injuries. âOi you,â he calls to a nearby customer, not caring if itâs not their job to stack the cans, âya just gonna stand there? or can you help an injured guy out?â
bashmcknightâ:
you can just about hear the groan that leaves bashâs lips when the hand lands on his shoulder and when he can hear willâs voice. he still canât figure out whether heâs glad that his mom invited him or notâhe should be, right? heâs trying with will (whatever the hell that means) so he should appreciate the opportunity to hang with him. but itâs hard to do it with the rest of the club aroundâwill feels like a walking target and bash isnât sure how wise it is to be around him right now. he opens his mouth to say something but heâs sort of at a loss. nico, whom heâs just been talking to, gives him a look. bash just sighs and nods so the other man leaves them alone. a look and a nod, thatâs all it takes for them to understand each other at this point. âdonât think youâre gonna be very welcome, man,â he replies; homeâs neutral and everyoneâs keeping it civil, at the risk of his mom kicking up a storm. luckyâs another story. luckyâs theirs. âand iâm pretty sure weâd mind.â bash shakes off willâs hand and takes a step backward, to get some distance in between them. âcanât you play nice for a single afternoon? i donât need you running around pissing people off.â and whoâs to say he hasnât already. âlistenââ bash pauses so he can let out another exasperated sigh, âiâm glad youâre here, i am. but you gotta behave. and no afterparty for you, got it?â
Mischievous eyes bounce between Nico and Bash, taking in their silent understanding nod to each other with the enthusiasm of a fangirl watching a tv show. âWhoa,â Will teasingly chimes in as Nico disappears, ânow thatâs what I call a bromance. Or is it a romance? You can share with me, I love a good love story,â truthfully, heâs a little jealous thereâs someone in Bashâs life who understands him without words. Itâs just another thing Bash has that Will doesnât. The teasing enthusiasm dips as Bash responds with a resounding no. It only worsens when he shrugs the hand off his shoulder and treats Will like an annoying younger brother. Which, he is, but that doesnât mean heâs gotta be all condescending about it. âSeriously bro? Youâre buyinâ into all that Silver Casket crap tonight, still?â maybe he shouldnât make fun of his so called âfamilyâsâ gang on his birthday, but to not even be invited stings. Gang wars or not. Will takes a frustrated swig of his beer, fist around the neck of the bottle, alcohol mixing in with his annoyance. A bad combo. âWhatever man, Iâm always on my best behaviour,â heâs not, âforgive me for tryna bond with my brother.â Conveniently, Bash is only Willâs brother when he wants something from him.
who: bian flynn @bianflynnâ where: the hospitalÂ
He hasnât seen what his face looks like yet, but he can feel it. the sting on his mouth, his inability to peer out of one, swollen eye. then thereâs his hand, which he canât even flex without pain shooting up his arm. Will is royally fucked, and it doesnât take a doctor for him to know that. But it goes beyond the physical; he knows any moment someone higher up than his stupid ass is gonna come into his hospital room and squawk at him for getting into this mess in the first place. And for - possibly - adding fuel to the fire.Â
When he sees her round the corner of his temporary room, Will shoots Bian the biggest smile he can manage with his cut up lip. âHeyo VP!â If he keeps up the enthusiasm, surely sheâll play nice, âto what do I owe the pleasure? Youâre outta luck, by the way, I just ate the last jello cup,â Will nodded to the table covered in empty cups beside him, â pretty sure I can get the nurse to bring ya another, though, if youâre desperate.â
roragillenkerkâ:
It was just another day at Mamaâs Kitchen, busy as ever and Aurora had been assigned the afternoon shift. The lunch rush were upon them and they were a bit short staffed thanks to some call offs on the waitresses. But, she could handle itâŚ.for the most part. None of this was new to Aurora, demanding customers one of them. She turns around when she hears a familiar voice, eyes instantly rolling when she realizes itâs Will. He wanted something free, again? âYou already got a slice of pie on the house last time you were here. Weâd be more than happy to get you another piece, but you still have to pay full price for it,â she replied.Â
The pie isnât dry. Will doesnât even want free pie at all â or well, heâll take it, but he doesnât need it. Really, heâs just looking for little ways to annoy the hell out of the waitress. âYeah but, maybe you guys should stop selling such dry pie, and Iâll start actually paying,â still, he shovels more into his mouth, continuing talking, âyou know, actually, maybe Iâll just take a free coffee to wash it all down. Just donât put too much of that uh⌠cream shit in it this time, okay?â Will nods to her, as though he doesnât expect any rebuttals, and proceeds to suck a stray piece of pie filling off his thumb.Â

vcxensâ:
Another fight, another make-up, and another day Will was here to grace his presence with a swiped snack and some snark. Valencia knew how he was, and that this was just friendly banter for him. However, she knew that at the very least he could keep his comments to himself, or âshut the fuck upâ like the mantra she repeated in her head. Wordlessly, she grabbed (more like snatched) the Cheetos bag and popped one in her mouth before she went back to stirring the curry she was making. âFirst of all-â She banged the spoon against the metal pot, trying to get the chunks of potato back into the simmering stew. â-Heâs not my sugar daddy, you know that. Second, Iâm not selling my soul. As you can see, Iâm completely fine and cared for thank you very much; and this-â She swirled her spoon in the air, referring to the place around them. â- is the perk. Donât you think Iâd buy myself an xbox if I really wanted one? Sorry I prefer my gifts in investments rather than toys.â Valencia felt like it was fair to at least get one jab in. âBesides, Iâm pretty sure youâd rather eat instead of talk. Foodâs almost done.â
...
Theyâve had variations of this conversation before, almost every week. That doesnât mean Will wonât make the same points, over and over, nor will he give up his relentless quest to make Valencia see she doesnât need nobody, especially not this guy and his bank account. âIf it looks like a duck and quacks like a duckâŚâ he trails off, giving her another very pointed look from his spot on her couch before quickly jumping up at the word food. Vâs cooking beats the freshly shop lifted Cheetos heâd brought as an apology. Will steps into the kitchen, pulling out plates for himself and his best friend, setting them down beside her before leaning against the counter. Sometimes heâs well behaved.  Then he opens his mouth again. âWhat do you mean investments?â his eyes narrow, âI donât think getting your hair and nails done counts as an investment, V, but go off.â Will jokes, sticking a finger along the hot edge of the pot, impatiently trying to get a taste, âyou know, with this new gig Iâve got, I could start helping you out, too.â
for: anyone ( @vengeancearchivesâ ) MAY 8TH, afternoon; bashâs family home
+ mostly geared towards the iron coffins members / characters affiliated with the club or neutral civilians bash could be friends with (feel free to assume connections in this case!!); anyone affiliated with the blazing phoenixâs might be a bit trickier but iâm open to plotting out why your muse could be here. or i can write you a different starter, just let me know in the dms!!
asking his mom to not do anything for his birthday was really a waste of time, bash shouldâve known she wouldnât listen anyway. and not only did she ignore bashâs request, she invited pretty much everyone she could think of. the entire club is here, his other friends that he wasnât even aware his mom knew about, even some of his momâs neighbors showed up, despite the fact that bash hasnât lived here for the past eight years. heâs still not entirely sure whether heâs enjoying himself or notâthatâs yet to be decided.
the cakeâs good, heâll give her that. store bought, because she doesnât have the time or energy for anything else but itâs the good stuff from the bakery, not the shit from the supermarket heâs so used to. taste of his early childhood, when the cheap supermarket shit was all they could afford. bash gets himself another slice and a fresh beer, then sits on the back porch steps, mostly so he can get the view of the entire backyardâfull of his friends and family.Â
âyou know i told my mom not to do this,â he says when one of the guests joins him. âstill convinced any birthdays past twenty-one really donât need to get celebrated. it all gets soâŚrepetitive. you peak at your eighteenth anyway, then itâs all downhill from there,â he chuckles. thirty-one is a far cry from that. to think heâs this old nowâan actual adult. mad. âbut thanks for coming anyway. iâm thinking about an afterparty. getting smashed at luckyâs sounds like a good idea, right?â
Will is sticking out like a sore thumb and he knows it. Heâs tried to chat with a few of the Iron Coffins, but it either ends in them ignoring him, or him wanting to rile them up. Heâs spoken to Bashâs mum a bit, sheâs so nice to him, too nice, that itâs just another reminder of the kind of life he missed out on. All of it is a reminder, from the family friends, to the fancy bakery cake, to the way Bash doesnât carry himself like heâll explode at any minute. How could they possibly be related?
And then he overhears the words, music to his ears as Bash chats up some guy Will can barely remember the name of. Like a bloodhound, sniffing out the nearest hint of fun Will makes a beeline for his half-brother and slaps a hand on his shoulder as though theyâre close. âDid someone say afterparty?â he beams obnoxiously at his older brother and his friend â Nick? Mick? Something like that. Whatever. âWhatâs the plan, big bro? Smashed at Luckyâs? Count me in,â He takes a long sip of the beer Bashâs ma gave him, Â eyes flicking between Bash and his company. Will wants to be on his best behaviour, he really does, but being around his new sibling and so many Iron Coffins is making him antsy, âyou donât mind if I bring a few friends, do ya? The more the merrier, amiright?â
Me, you and the crew.
who: aurora gillenkerk @roragillenkerkâ where: mamaâs kitchen
Of course, he knows he shouldnât be here, sitting in a booth in Mamaâs kitchen, looking smug as hell Thereâs probably rules on where he can go, and who he can talk to, but of course, Will has never listened to rules. Instead, he sits, digging into his pie which is admittedly very good, waiting for a familiar face to show up. And when he spots her, he brightens. Not because theyâre friends or he likes her, far from that. More because sheâs stupidly fun to stir up. âUh, miss?â he calls, sticking his head comically out the booth, trying his best to look the part of the disappointed customer despite the grin threatening to cross his lips, âthis pies a bit dry. Can I get another on the house?â
âWhat good is a sugar daddy if heâs not gonna get you an Xbox?â Will asks, kicking his feet up onto Valenciaâs couch, leaning back with his arms behind his head. Su casa, mi casa, he thinks as he makes himself at home in his best friendâs living room, not caring that he still has his dirty old sneakers on or that heâs barely said hi. âSeriously,â a bag of hot Cheetos, swiped from Food Donkey, is opened up and Will hands them out to V, âif youâre gonna sell your soul, you should at least get some fancy-ass perks.â // @vcxensâ
