 ‘ didn’t mean to wake you ! ‘

          it’s a mostly likely mumbled apology, no doubt, voice kept low.           he shifts, eyes on the headboard as he cuts words in his mind.

 ‘ can’t a friend drop in to see a friend, without excuse? ‘ 

     ❝ of course they can, but -- ❞

          head turns lazily to peer at his phone, screen illuminating           as fingers jab at it without much direction.

   yes, yes. it’s barely 7am, guttering morning light & this isn’t his house.     but he’s been awake for a while and he hadn’t the heart to wake courf.

     eyes peek open for a second, before closing again.      he’s very sleepy, forgive him.

                                          alabaster fingertips linger by crimson knuckles,  grip stained by torn flesh.  ❛thank god you are still breathing. we need to get out of this place,  now.❜ her expression is far from sane, hollow eyes clouded by fear.  ❛i need you to walk. can you do that for me?❜ 

     eyes blink at her in his dazed state, a hard hit to his head from a stranger      and a few punches thrown from both sides ; he’s not entirely sure what      happened. though there’s a pounding within his skull, his legs seem fine      and he makes some sort of noise of confirmation.

     “ wait, wait  —- c’mere —- “

     surely their friends can wait long enough for just ONE      MORE KISS, can’t they ?  he tugs him back again,      kissing him just a BIT more fiercely this time. 

               “ … that sounds good to me. “

     ❝ you’re making it very difficult to get out of this car. ❞

she’s just a TAD distracted by his hands on her behind, but she forces herself to remain focused for now. she kisses him back in earnest, fingers twining in his hair as she smiles softly against his lips.

    “ oh, it was … well, it was a CONFERENCE.       nothing too interesting to report. what about        you, hm ?  how’s everything been here ? “

     he’s so glad to have her in his arms again. every day      without her feels like a limb is missing from his body.      a piece of his heart gone. and now it’s whole again.      humming in satisfaction at her answer, lips capture      hers quickly before he replies.

          ❝ the gang are good. ❞

     courfeyrac’s first reaction to the question is of course      to fill her in on their friends. his care and worry is so      often directed towards all of them over himself.
