One thing that really sucks about getting more confident in yourself and your identity is that a lot of things you used to be able to just ignore are suddenly a way bigger deal. Small dick jokes aren't funny. Virgin/sexless jokes aren't funny. Jokes hinging on "incorrect" gender presentation or sex characteristics aren't funny! Offhanded blanket comments about men or women or sex or romance are so much more infuriating now. People use AFAB/AMAB to imply things about bodies and I want to lose my shit. Being more of myself is fucking awesome but man, it really reveals how little of myself is truly acceptable to anyone.
