honestly ??? the best thing about fairy tail for me ??? are the females ????????????? 

they had SO MUCH going for them in the beginning !!! strong girls with potential !! beautiful and smart and tough. they started out so 3d, but by the very end all they were was just. a) the butt of jokes for sexual harassment or b) failed love attempts at boys. or ! c) really overpowered but kind of not elaborated on anymore. 

juvia, lucy and erza are probably the most interesting in concept to me? erza, a slave who knows hardship and kindness! juvia, a woman who’s experienced complete loneliness all her life. and lucy! a girl who finally has a family she adores! why can’t this be part of their character???? thar’s them at their CORE and it’s not even shown. all we have is erza yelling and juvia being jealous of girls with gray and lucy being groped ??? like lmfao fuck the boys in this shitty series the girls need more handling ??? 

does mashima not know what to do with his characters lol ????????/ lucy honestly does deserve a boy that treats her with RESPECT and i get that natsu means a lot to her, but in absolutely NO WAY does that mean he has any right to just parade through her house and grab her by the legs ????? say ‘hey we’re going on a mission!!!’ while she’s upside down and almost naked.

juvia deserves someone that treats her with more kindness and consideration than gray does. NOT EVEN A BOY just friends !!!!!! juvia is the type of girl who would ADORE her friends so much!!!! it honestly makes me SO HAPPY thinking about how many first experiences she must have had with lucy and erza and levy ! her first sleepover! her first makeover! first shopping trip! but instead we’re only shown her vices and jealous side 99% of the time when gray’s around.
