"Perhaps we should both give smiling a rest." The larger dragon mused. "Though I must say, you do a better job at it than I ever could."
Curiously, he glanced over at Hiccup.
"And your gifts, do they suit you?"
Hiccup chuckles and smiles nodding ” Yes I love them thank you .” He says ” I wish we had something for you, you’re making me feel bad.” He chuckles
"Oh, do not fret! Your happiness is enough of a gift for me." He gave an almost grumble-like purr.
She sighed and smiled as she patted the side of the box fondly, "No need to apologize, I'm just a bit protective is all. She's withstood being in the hottest fires and hit by meteors." She looked up curiously then, " Well you surely must be from another planet. I've never seen a dragon in all of my travels." The Doctor tilted her head as she put her hand in her pocket, wondering if she should use her sonic to find the origin of the creature.
Temeraire eyed the device with more intrigue now. To think such a simple metal box could withstand meteors! Surely it was not of this world, and neither was the woman for sure. "I assure you, I am from this world. You must not be, yes? How far are you from home? Actually where do you call home?" His thirst for knowledge was unrelenting, as he was asking more and more questions of the other's origin.

The Doctor wasn’t sure where she had landed this time, she started to bring the screen around when she heard a peculiar sound. It sounded like something was scratching at the TARDIS. She quickly pulled on her trench coat and headed for the doors. Upon opening them she was faced with a creature she’d never thought could have existed. “Oi! What are you doing?” She was a bit defensive of her ship. She stepped out of the ship and stared at the dragon in fascination and disbelief, “Are you real? You can’t possibly be real!”
The Celestial was taken aback when the woman emerged from the blue box. His surprise was met with guilt, and he drew back his claws and bowed his head apologetically. "My apologies, I didn't realize you were inside." Now lifting up his head, he added: "And of course I am real, for you are too."

Such a peculiar blue device here in the Dover Covert. Out of sheer curiosity and determination to find what was contained within, Temeraire began to pick at the sides of it with his claws. By no doubt he had the strength to forcefully pry it open, but he would rather start off dainty with his attempts.

The Celestial basked comfortably in the afternoon sun. He was stretched out to his furthest length. And from time to time, he would stretch out his wings to catch extra rays. He lazily opened an eye to find he was in the presence of another.
"Hmmm?"
Toothless smiled back to Temeraire, his teeth were retracted into his gum so he looked more like a baby then an actually fully grown terrifying dragon.
"Perhaps we should both give smiling a rest." The larger dragon mused. "Though I must say, you do a better job at it than I ever could."
Curiously, he glanced over at Hiccup.

Hiccup smiles and chuckles a little looking to Toothless, Toothless tilts his head a little before he looked down to the gold, dragons wore this? He smelled the crown and nudged it a little until it some how rested ontop of his head, he then looked up to the larger dragon almost as if he were asking if it looked good on him.
"The gold complements you well."
Temeraire attempted a smile, baring his teeth like he has seen most people do. He was not a person, though, and so the smiling dragon probably looked more menacing than anything else. After a few moment, he stopped.
It was probably for the best.
Hiccup watched him pry the crates open carefully and smiles moving over to the now open crate and peaked in to see the many books and maps, he frowned a little at the mention of a fountain pen, his never seen one of those before or even heard of it ” Fountain pen? Huh never heard of it before must be new.” he says watching as Toothless jumped a little as the box was tilted and little treasures poured out, Toothless slowly moved forward and sniffed each gold piece before looking up to the larger dragon.
"From what I understand, they have been around for quite a while. I'm no connoisseur of pens, but this variety is certainly excellent. There's no need to dip it in ink, since the reservoir is contained within the pen itself. I believe its design originated from the Northern regions of Africa." He said with great modesty. He tilted his head down towards Toothless, his tendrils nearly draping over the smaller dragon. "Are they to your taste? I wasn't entirely sure what would suit you best, but I think many dragons look good in gold."

Jean could hardly stand on his feet, trying not to fall down because of exhaustion and fear at presence of the highest command, as he thought then. The appearance of the ‘green man’ he first took as a hallucination until the huge black beast addressed him again, asking Jean who was he. ‘Madam Lien’ and the ‘green man’ both asked him about something reinforcing his fears even more.
The boy was horrified to realize that the human figure in a green uniform addressed him in English, evoking memories of a recent capture. Trying to escape from this terrible reality Jean slowly trudged along the black beast toward its rump, singing one of the French revolutionary songs, sometimes stopping to lean on its side and rest.
The little Plein-Vite spent her captain an amused glance, then having turned the head to the black dragon, she said, blinking in surprise:
"I’m Moucheture! What’s your name temerarious monsieur?"
"And mine, Temeraire." The Celestial replied firmly. His eyes narrowed at the peculiar mannerisms of the Plein-Vite's captain. "And your Captain, what is his name? And how does he know Lien?"
The dragon would have turned to snatch the wandering Frenchman, but he was in far too much pain to move so quickly. Not only that, but he may disturb the crew. Many of them were injured, and he may only worsen their pains by moving so suddenly.
"A jemmy is a special bar of metal used to pry things open." Feeling as though an explanation would not be enough, he drew it in the sand. A rather straight line with a hooked end. "The hooked portion of it is forked, and the reason for this being hooked is to allow for better leverage when prying things open. It’s effectiveness through simplicity is quite fascinating."
" Huh i’ve never seen a jemmy before." Hiccup says staring at the drawing he had made in the sand and frowned examining it " Well i don’t have a jemmy…."
"That's alright, I'll just open the crates for you." With careful precision, he pried open the few crates of presents he brought for his friends. "I really hope you enjoy the books I brought. There's also a map, a fountain pen, and a journal for you. Oh, and Toothless, these is for you." He pushed over one of the smaller crates with his claw. Insides were several gold accessories. The most notable being a necklace and head dress.
"Oh, but I must! How else are you to learn about the dragons beyond Berk?"
Temeraire expected the embrace this time around, and allowed himself to be licked and pawed at by Toothless. He even went so far as to lightly brush his head up against the other. The gesture nearly resembled a hug. He then pulled away, and focused his attention on the boxes.
"You might need a jemmy to open these boxes. If you’d like, I could pry them open with my claws?"
Hiccup smiles and nods ” Thank you ! But if i may ask what is a jemmy?” he asked and smiles watching as Temeraire gently hugged the Nightfury back, Toothless trilled at this and nuzzled Termaire back softly before pulling away.

" Ah, well i’m sure we’ll meet him one day when his not so busy but it is nice to see you again." Hiccup said smiling up at Temeraire blinking a little as he watched the large dragon shake until two boxes fell out " Books?" he asks before smiling to him " You didn’t have to bring us anything Temeraire." he said before looking to the box Temeraire tapped the box filled with books " I’m sure i’ll have a lot of fun reading them i promise to get them back to you and make sure they aren’t harmed in any way."
Toothless ran up to Temeraire and hopped up and down infront of him trying to lick his face and playfully paws at his chest purring softly

It had been quite a while since the last time Temeraire visited his friends Hiccup and Toothless. He had been talking all about it to Laurence, but their military duties had prevented them from taking leave to visit Berk. Unfortunately at the time Temeraire wished to visit, Laurence was asked to some high society party with some old friends. He would have liked to show off his Captain to Hiccup and Toothless, but it seemed as though he’ll save it for another day.
Instead, Temeraire brought along several volumes of books about dragons from all over the world. (Or at least, from the world he knew.) And also a map, a few gold trinkets for Toothless, and a leather bound journal and ivory dip pen for Hiccup.
And after a few hours flight, Temeraire found himself back on the island. He tried to find where he had last been with them, and all the while calling out their names. It probably wasn’t necessary, for his movements rustled and swayed the trees as he walked through the foliage.
"I’m not sure if either of you are busy, but I brought gifts!" He called out.
Hiccup and Toothless flew high in the sky a familiar dragon catching their gaze, Hiccup smiles seeing it was Temeraire and watched as the large dragon landed onto the ground calling out to them ” Look there bud.” Hiccup said pointing down to the large dragon, his body clearly visible even from how high they were ” Looks like Temeraire came by for a visit, let’s go down and say hi.” Hiccup said smiling patting the Nightfury on the back.
Excited to see his friend was back Toothless dived down and landed behind the larger dragon calling out to him from behind chattering happily as he trotted up behind him Hiccup still sitting on his back , the boy chuckled and looked up to Teremaire ” Hey Temeraire it’s nice to see you’re well and unharmed, how is your rider?” he asks patting Toothless again before slipping off of the Nightfury’s back.
Hearing wing flaps above him, Temeraire looked up to see his two friends descend upon him. He was absolutely delighted, and his claws tapped against the hardened ground with eager anticipation. He carefully turned himself around, being mindful of his size so that he didn't end up swatting them with his tail.
"Hello! It is so nice to see you both again. Laurence has been well, but unfortunately he could not visit today. Instead, I've collected a few gifts for you both, along with a few books that may be of interest to you, Hiccup."
This time around, Temeraire came harnessed. It was very sparing, for all he needed it for was to carry his gifts in the cargo net along his belly. He wasn't too dexterous, even for a five taloned dragon, and so he resorted to just ringing out the net until everything fell out.
Thankfully, his crew was kind enough to wrap everything in rags and place them in boxes before he left. And so little if any damage was taken to the more delicate cargo.
"I have almost all of Sir Edward Howe's books and papers here for you to read. He's a scholar back in Britain, and one of the most notable when it comes to dragons." He lightly tapped a talon on the box containing said books.
"Then in here," he tapped another, "Are the gifts for you and Toothless."
