NAME: Edmund Charles Henry, Prince of Illuxia TITLE:Â His Royal Highness Prince Edmund Charles Henry, Duke of Caito AGE: 26 RACE: Half human, half tiefling GENDER: Male ALIGNMENT: Chaotic Good
justixiaâ:
âYeah, I got the text message! Who do you think I am?â In conclusion, she did not look at the text message. âYou know what Edmund, Iâm glad I got to eat shit over whatever you were going to give me.â She said before crossing her arms, trying to fight back a laugh from that. âIâd still like that free meal though,âÂ
Though she rubbed her cheeks as she heard his last statement, wondering how she was going to come back from that. âI gladly will like to let you know,â Small dramatic pause, âIâm so good at parkour itâs sick. I just had an off day today, thank you.âÂ
âSomeone who never replies to my texts?â He cocked his eyebrows, tilting his head at her. âOh, right, yes, no,â he shook his hands in front of himself, âexcuse me for thinking you might enjoy something a bit more upscale from tasting pavement. My mistake, Georgie.â He shrugged nonchalantly, stroking his chin, âI suppose we can still make that happen, any specific sidewalks youâd prefer?â
He snorted into his hand, coughing over it. âSick? Oh, yes,â he closed his eyes, respectfully lowering his head, a grin spreading quickly across his features, âplease,â Edmund put a hand to his heart, âsend my condolences.â
@justixia || cont. from (x).
âWhy do you want to know where I was? What are you the NSA?â Georgina said, peering at Edmund before zipping up her coat.
âIf you have to know, I was busy eating shit because I fell off the Capitolâs stairs. You would think doing parkour at a government building is fun, but it isnât â â Another reason to why Georgina should not be out of her job right now, otherwise she does things like this for fun. Â
âI only asked because we happened to have a lunch appointment; you...did get my text, right? Though, Iâm glad you managed to get something to eat, regardless. I was quite worried about you, it isnât like you to pass up a free meal,â tsk tsk. He bit back a smile. âThough, it sounds like you got one anyway.â
Edmund shrugged. âEither way, have you tried,â he paused, putting a hand to his chin, looking over at her, feigning absolute sincerity, ânot being bad at it?â

A man ice skating in a suit (1937)
@milcno || starter call.
âI mean, this isnât even my real birthday, whatâs the use in celebrating something only used for documents? Everyone wants to make such a fuss over it, but no one believes that Iâve had quite enough of these celebrations for a lifetime, but still--the acknowledgements are always nice, I just never know what to do with them after so long. Iâm sure you understand.â
@liandao || starter call.
âThanks, but this was entirely unnecessary.â Still though, he opened the door for her--for once. She had flown all this way, he might as well host her for a night till she got a proper hotel room, but hopefully she already had one and this was unnecessary. âYou really didnât have to get me anything. Itâs only a day.â
@italitude || late birthday starter call.
âUh, thank you, I appreciate the sentiment,â but who the hell was she? He could place the face to somewhere in Italy--hopefully--but her name...was certainly escaping him, yet she knew him, and somehow knew enough about him to know his birthday? It was much too late to ask now.
albionium :
âAnd with a few minutes to spare, precisely 10:30. Rather seems that my break is somewhat superbââ Up and about, this carcass of joy uttered out in a hushed voice, the image of talking to oneâs self, he thinks quite redeeming. His own visage walking to and fro, and with a turn, down the halls of his own beloved capitalâs city hall. Numerous people, from all walks of life, passes by him, bodies unfurled in that dreary dayâ oneâs own imagination, inflicts into the world, a haze, a blurry filter; the nervous fluidity of slow motion, the kind of feeling that entices his attention, and yet even as it demands of it not. Arthur notices the daze, he feels it parading through his veins in real time syncâ Parades through the halls, he does not. Term is âwalkingâ midst the en masse.
What he was doing there, one could find a little odd, maybe quite intriguing. His thorough main destination, however, was North Kensington. Must disregard the news; neither did he obey the inquisitiveness and the nagging of some of his advisersâ Obey them, he did not. Not now, not this once. This play of sudden insolence, makes familiar and takes heed of that insubordinate nature and that of his callous, petrifying stubbornness. Harnessed and perfected in manner and act and an indicated form, which somehow manages to capture the fervent eyes of those who interacts with him.
By the time he manages to reach the corridors which earnestly connect to Edmundâs office, a surprisingly, and quite unsightly sight; Stopping aghast, his ears mockingly greeted by the accompaniment of shrieks as reminiscent of a bansheeâs, and the forceful trashing and kicking about of limbs quite frail and occurred by longevityâ it greets Arthurâs unprepared composure in unison, and generates, at first a subtle shocked sensation, finalising with the ushered feelings of contempt and disbelief. Why is this distressed woman being carried away, from the office itselfâ by a man of larger stature? Reasons far beyond his temporarily limited cognition; they continue to haunt him for minutes a many, ebbing in continuity they flow, as he opens and strides through the elegant threshold, finding himself in that moment, face-to-face with the City himself.
Impeccably dressed, as always. Mere agitation at a loss for a genuine moment, he civilly beguiles himself to greet Edmund with renewed expression. âA bonafide pleasant morning, Mr Whitney. What an incredible delight to see you againââ Interruptions, interruptions. Lest he thinks otherwise; a cough is a cough, dear reader.
And thatâs when the interrogation starts. Arthur enacts the prospect of sitting near his desk.
âPardon. Now, you must entertain expected inquisition with expected reason, good sir. I plead; as that was a very.. how should I sayâ a rather exquisite, or unique spectacle that I have just noticed, a meager lady of age trashing about. She who was resorted to be forcefully ejaculated from this same room, as you and i now occupy it, for just a few minutes ago. Lest suspicion shouldâst not take itsâ root, what was that all about, Edmund?â
[ @albicnsâ ]
He glanced up briefly above his reading glasses, looking back down. Wonderful, him--as if this morning wasnât already pleasant enough. It canât be helped, however--sometimes we all had to do things we simply donât want to do, talking to oneâs own nation just happened to be one of those things--especially after a bloody banshee was ripped out of his office. Typical.
âDr. Whitney,â he said dryly, his eyes still on the book in front of him. âI didnât earn my doctorate for no reason, as you know, Arthur,â he licked his finger, flipping the page. âTell me, must you always be this ostentatious?â Like youâre one to talk? âIf you have questions, must you waste precious minutes simply asking the damn thing? Time is money, as they say,â and he had plenty of it, though, unfortunately for Arthur, not for this.
âAh, some American tourist who thought she was doing the Lordâs work talking to a heathen such as me, thatâs all, love. Nothing more, nothing less. Donât know how she managed to get this far, but itâs not worth your time or mine, hence her absence.â He leaned forward. âIs that all? Or did you have some other reason to be here?â
He picked up his cup again, taking a delicate sip. âI was under the impression you had more important things to attend to than one rowdy visitor, or is there simply nothing else to do around here that your judgment lapsed enough to visit little old me? By all means, Arthur, Iâm flattered,â he put a hand to his heart, âbut is this something you need to concern yourself with? I can easily handle my own affairs.â

Iâm just gonna say, Edâs private study is probably incredibly disorganized and messy since he practically lives in there--doesnât matter which house, but the one in Hampstead is messier since he occasionally cleans the Knightsbridge study up in case of nosy visitors, but the Hampstead one...? Yeah, tough luck finding anything unless you happen to know his âsystemâ too, even he has a hard time sometimes.
@fataobstant || late birthday starter call.
âOh, yeah. I suppose I do have to update that now. Thank you for reminding me.â Really. Well, he never was particularly one to give much fanfare to his own birthday--but this was certainly took the cake, if he even happened to have any today.Â
Sike, that was the only thing he planned to take advantage of.
fataobstantâ:
âLet them wait. Iâve only just returned. Patience is a virtue and I am going to make sure that they know that.â Plus, itâd be nice if he got a chance to breathe for two seconds before jumping right back into domestic politics. Colonies are one thing, but dealing with the people you have to see day in and day out is another. You canât just go away for year intervals, after all.
So Conall sighs, rubs at his face as he listens to Edmund speak. âDinner? I think I can make dinner. As far as I know, I donât have anything planned for tonight, and if anyone tries to spontaneously visit me, Iâll tell them to fuck off.â He snorts, something like amusement appearing on his face. âRichard ought to know that Iâll always make time for him. What is an empire without its home country? You and Richard, in fact, are the only two people allowed to spontaneously make plans with me.â
âIâm quite flattered,â he smirked, shaking his head and setting down his ornamental cane in front of him. âBut, Richard,â he shrugged flippantly, âthought it best to ask first as he knew your first day back would be quite busy,â he tsked, âand Iâm sure youâve realized thatâs an understatement by now.Â
âIâve,â he looked down at his feet, tilting his head, âmanaged to fight off most of your would be appointments, but some have still been persist enough to make themselves nuisances, so I figured Iâd give you the honor of letting them know yourself that your time is yours alone as my secretary grows weary of writing rejection letters; wish the best for her, always,â he brought his hand to his chest, sighing wistfully.Â
âMy,â he rolled his eyes, tapping the cane to the side, âitâs almost like weâre dealing with animals here, and they call themselves gentlemen, puh. Regardless,â he shrugged, straightening up, âI have, what I think, is the best course of action for the next few days--the others Iâve left to bother their mail carriers. Patience is a virtue that must be learned as you said. Iâll drop it by Richardâs later tonight, just in case any more of them deign to make themselves look like twats.
âHow was your trip, by the way? All according to plan, I assume?â
fataobstantâ:
@cederenscio
âIâve been off of this damn ship for five whole minutes, and Iâm already this close to committing a crimeâEdmund, do tell me why thatâs a bad idea so I donât do it.â
Conall says this as he pinches the bridge of his nose, crumpling up the letter in his hands. Of course, itâs always something isnât it? He takes a deep breath, squints in his annoyance. âI always say that itâs nice when I return to England, but then thereâs always a fuckup that ruins my mood.â
A beat of silence. A sigh. âAnyways, itâs good to see you. Iâve trust youâve kept things running in my absence. In fact, I know you haveâŚI donât know why I ask that anymore.â
Edmund only shrugged, looking down at his nails. âIf you do commit a crime, youâd have to go through the hassle of the legal system. Do you honestly have time for that right now with everything going on? But,â he looked over at Conall with a grin, âby all means, itâll make things quite interesting for me, a nice change of pace from the mundane, donât you think?â
He sighed. âRight, it always one thing after another, really; frankly, I admire your ability to keep away from it. Shall we get going though? Iâd hate to keep those requesting your presence waiting,â they could wait.
But, nonetheless, he smiled. âThank you, Conall. Your faith is well placed. Oh, before I do happen to forget, Richard wanted to meet with you when you get a chance, nothing too important comparatively, but still, he says it was rather important that I let you know. Heâs in the city currently awaiting word on whether or not you can make dinner.â
The Biting Truth
@gebrochener-adler || Vampire AU.
Given everything that happened tonight, it was quite successful, if he had to say so himself--which he did. However, leaving the market proved more irritating than usual, word of some unwanted guests slowed the traffic to a snailâs pace, and, by god, he didnât have time for this even if he happened to be in possession of all the time in the world now.Â
Sidling out of the crowd with a quick glance to the side, he took his leave from the mess of those who could loosely be called people into the nearby alleyway. Those who feared the dark would leave him alone, and he who had no fear would also find this route quite promising--that is, if it wasnât interrupted.
He ran his tongue against his teeth, his hand absentmindedly running along his bag strap. Yes, a quite successful night, indeed.Â
But, no need to jinx it this soon. He still had to get home after all.

hadzyukaâ:
Natallia let go of his leg as soon as he had shaken her off, as to not offend this Kind Prince Man. She sat there on the ground, looking desperate and helpless as he began to look lost in thought. She wait with bated breath, nervous to see if he would actually find her a job there at the castle. Maybe there sheâd have more opportunities to strikeâŚmore options, even! This was turning out very well, as long as he didnât suspect-
âIâm very willing to learn.â She nodded, scrambling up from where she was sitting to bow deeply to him. Natallia didnât exactly have skirts to curtsy with, so she wouldnât even try faking that and make herself look ridiculous. âThank you so much, Your Majesty. Iâm a quick learner and I will treasure this job.âÂ
âRight then...â he glanced over at her, watching her every move with an acute sense of awareness. Clearing his throat, he straightened his back, his thoughts hidden behind a facade as if this was simply a chore now. Still though, an experienced watcher could tell his suspicion was still ever present--as, well, frankly, it should be.
âMore than likely youâll want to change out of something so...â he looked her over again, âhm, conspicuous, but Iâm sure you realized that, if you happen to know anything about your chosen--or forced, excuse me--profession.â Clearly his faith in her was wavering, hopefully sheâd be a better gardener than assassin.Â
Now, how was he to do this? She needed different clothes, that was for sure, but he also needed to get her into the palace in a way that wasnât simply walking out of his room as that might not get the right reaction despite everything he was known for.Â
Well, she climbed in through the window, didnât she? It shouldnât be too hard going back down, and no matter what her intentions were--truthful or deceptive--sheâd most likely meet him down at the gate, or wherever he asked her to meet him, allowing them to waltz in straight through the gates with her simply being another charity case for him. No more, no less. They just might have to wait till nightfall again, which--ah, fuck, heâd have to deal with her for the whole damn day then. No, no, that simply wouldnât do.Â
Alright, new plan, Edmund, we let her kill you and then we donât have to think about this anymore. Great idea, letâs go with that! He rolled his eyes. âNow, do you have any idea of how youâre going to not raise suspicion? Because I can certainly get you that job, itâs just getting there that happens to be the issue.â
