“This is completely out of context of what we were talking about, but I’m curious… have you ever heard of something called the ‘elevator game’?” Shiloh asked, resting her chin in the palm of her hands as she looked over her friend. It was always an old scary story that her and her siblings scared each other with when they were younger, though she didn’t think much of it until she came across a Buzzfeed article a few days ago - talking about a similar story. “Pretty much, it’s an elevator ritual that apparently sends you to another world. Weird, right?” she added before pausing, leaning in for dramatic affect. “Let’s try it.”

Chocolate hues stare in part amazement, part fear, as her friend continues to peer across at her. Eyes twinkling and smile wide despite her odd, not to mention terrifying, suggestion for what they should do with the remainder of their Friday night. “You’re joking right?” Even as she asked the question, Cece knew the answer. If years of being best friends with Shiloh Park had taught her anything, it was that she never brought up doing something unless she’d already made her mind up about doing it. “I have heard of it. Perks of having band mates who make it their job to snoop through the weird part of Youtube. And if it were anyone else asking me to play I’d grab my bag and leave immediately….consider yourself lucky for being one of my best friends. Alright, I’ll play but if I die it’s completely your fault.”

     “ — We’re not watching The Notebook again.” Wyatt stated as he sat back against the couch, pillow cradled between his arms as he used the remote to scroll through the Netflix playlists. He was thankful that they didn’t have it on Netflix because he’d already had to watch it with his sister once before the pair of them had, a third or fourth time would’ve been far too many for his liking. “What about something funny? I looked up some of the popular movies for this month. Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall are pretty high up there.”

    Sierra didn’t even like The Notebook. It was a good movie and she’d watch it if nothing else was on but it wasn’t her favorite or anything. In fact the only reason she insisted Wyatt watch it with her all of the time was because she knew how much he despised it and she got a kick out of annoying him. “Fine.” the brunette sighed as if it truly bugged her to not watch the film. “Your house, your rules. But let me be clear, next time we have a movie night…get ready to see Ryan Gosling build a house for the love of his life.” Setting the popcorn she fetched from the microwave on to the coffee table in front of them, Sierra quickly made herself comfortable next to her ‘gracious’ host. "I don’t know why you put up such a fuss in the first place. It’s not like we spend much time watching the movie we put on anyway. But I’m cool with Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

This could not have come at a better time. Erika was trying her best to get out of her family induced rage and wasn’t sure how she was going to get back to normal. Luckily for her, her vague posting online was enough to get Rose to drop in to pull her out of this mood. “You’re a lifesaver honestly, I need a good fucking night so I can pretend my breakdown didn’t even happen.” She explained as her arms wrapped gently around her waist, letting out a playfully annoyed whine at how tightly she was being hugged back.

At the suggestion of dressing her up, Erika’s face began to brighten up even more. It was like getting to play dress up with her very own, life sized barbie doll and it made her excited getting to use her knowledge for something other than school work. “I love how you know my weakness, lets go.” She quickly dashed to her room, a bottle of beer in one hand, her friends hand in the other, pulling them along to show off her clothes annd grab her makeup kit to get started. “So what are we thinking? Something more classy or something that would have us mistaken for hookers on the side of the road?”

"I tend to suss out weakness before anything else when I meet a person,” Cece teased, the grin tugging on the edge of her lips enough of a sign that she was teasing as Erika happily pulled them along towards her bedroom. Society certainly wouldn’t enjoy the latter option and would likely judge them if they were to strut around one of the biggest cities in Georgia looking like sex workers but it only made the brunette only that much more tempted to pick it up. “Hookers, definitely hookers. We’re gonna be degraded regardless what we wear out tonight so why not do it up big?” Pissing off the man probably meant a lot more make-up on her face, which wasn't ideal, but Sierra had done far much worse out of spite in the past. “Do you still have that black mini dress with the thigh slit? I feel like this is a perfect opportunity to borrow it.”

For the third time that day, his phone rang loudly in his jacket pocket and before he even thought about pulling it free to answer he knew who it was. It’d been weeks since they’d called off his bands tour following his sister disappearance. Weeks for fans, sponsors and now his manager to grow impatient with him, phone calls, emails, text messages spilling through day by day questioning when he’d consider coming back as if he’d had any ounce of control over the case itself. “You’d think after six unanswered calls, they’d get the fucking hint.” He muttered to little else other than himself as he retrieved his phone and tossed it out into the splaying waves. 

"Hints are overrated.” Sierra stated, shoulder lifting in an unapologetic shrug. “Tell them point blank to fuck off." Granted she knew not what exactly the unanswered calls were about but it hardly mattered to her because whatever the case, she'd stand firmly by her advice. Not that Kaiden Hawthorne needed advice on avoiding subtly from her. “Doing that would have been a lot less dramatic than whirling your phone into the unforgiving ocean.” Though who was she to judge another on dramatics when she constantly did stupid things when angry. “You didn’t show up to our song writing session, I thought it was cause I called Alexis a bitch on accident last time and you didnt want to work together anymore but now I know you’re mad at everyone today and not just me. So that’s a load off my shoulders.”

"You’ve got to be kidding me.” Furious doesn't even begin to describe her state of mind, emerald hues watching in disbelief as her ride disappears over the horizon. Leaving her stranded in the middle of an empty club parking lot with the last person on earth she wanted to be left alone with. “You’ve got to be FUCKING KIDDING ME.” There's no point in keeping her voice down, no risk of causing a scene with a lack of audience to witness it. “I was gone for less than a minute to get my jacket and you what, ran them off?" It was the only assumption that could be made. One moment the occupants of the truck were more than happy to help her out for the night, the next they were gone. The only difference between the two moments? Angelo Fucking Moretti. “You’d think after you ruined my life once you’d have the decency not to do it anymore.”

“You asked for a distraction,” the blonde began setting a six pack of cold beer on the coffee table adjacent her friend. “And I’m here to deliver.” Her purse quickly follows the alcohol, set carelessly on the table as she launches her five foot five frame into the space next to Erika. Long limbs wrapping around the blonde's shoulders to pull her into an obnoxious hug.  Squeezing tightly, absentmindedly swaying their entwined bodies from side to side before deciding to end the assault. “Now that the mushy gushy portion of the night’s over with. Drink up. We’re pre-gaming before the actual distraction.” It wasn't often someone entrusted Sierra Rose Cahill with their car but she managed to make it happen tonight and they were going to leave the worries of Westport behind for a night and paint the night red in Atlanta.
