Something that annoys me about modern day criticism of this late stage capitalist fascist regime is i always see people saying there’s no community anymore in such a definitive way like they are nailing the coffin shut. Like dude, just go outside. theres people there. and believe it or not you can TALK to them. and make friends. and find community. the world is your oyster. that doom and gloom shit is not “critical analysis” its just fucking lazy. yall will sit up on your phones typing up essays about being so lonely and how there’s no community anymore without even making a single effort. you can’t expect community to magically come to you. community is something you have to BE A PART OF. meaning you have to put in effort and put yourself out there and step OUT of your comfort zone, MAKE yourself available to community, TAKE THE TIME to be present with others instead of on your phone complaining to Twitter!! I fucking hate liberals

Girl nobody ever said it was supposed to be easy! Yall think because you can open ur phone and scroll thru tinder for a partner, bumble for a friend, tik tok for a laugh, uber for a ride, post mates for a meal that everything is supposed to just materialize with little to no effort but unfortunately that’s not how community building works. you have to go. outside!
