Is it the lack of creativity? Perhaps it is the lack of interest that the photo holds. Regardless what it may be, it is overall a loss of intention. In my opinion, a bad photo is something that does not show, in its best form, the purpose in which the photograph was taken for.

During our week one class, we took the time to try to snap what we think are ‘bad’ photos.

However, in doing so, our intention became to take these bad photographs, creating, ironically, good photos because they fit my criteria of what I deem to be a good photo (showing my intention). By creating bad photos on purpose, they fit my intention, becoming what I wanted all along.

When sharing our photos together, it became clear that even what we deem to be 'bad’ photos still have something creative about them; it could be their use of the art elements and principles, the way in which one has used colour, lines, angles, composition… It is still a creatively unique shot.
