Dragon WIP Seriously guys, this is turning out so much better than expected, I'm so excited.
Winter Guest Book
I stole the lettering straight off the Coke bottle, and we both loved it. These shots don’t well display it, but the white cover is actually a really pretty pearl, so coupled with the silver lettering and glossy ribbon, this whole book beautifully bounces light for a slightly surreal feeling perfect for the traditional wedding setting. I ADORE this corset binding and the sophisticated air it lends. I was fortunate enough to find paper for the pages that matched her theme for a pop of color that I’m sure was super fun to write on in silver Sharpie. :)
Approximately 5.5′x8.5′, 65 lb cardstock. Crafted 12/2014.
Wine Book
This one was fun to continue practicing hand marbling paper for the end sheets. I’m delighted that I could be part of this, because the recipient used this book to hand-record the history of the courting of her husband as a wedding gift to him. She spent HOURS on that project. One of these days I will get some professional shots of these books, instead of just attempting to artistically arrange them hours before they are being delivered. :P
Approximately 9.5"x6.25" inches, 80 pages of 80 lb drawing paper. Made 11/2014.Â
So here is this cute pot I painted. A little different than some of the stuff I usually post, but between this one that I actually finished and the three and two halves that are not quite finished yet (got overambitious with the Chevron stripes), I really felt a need to actually say "look world!! I actually made a thing!!" and let you all know what I worked on today instead of baking. :) If I'd been thinking more clearly (I blame it on the pregnancy), I would have taken pictures before I planted my ginger root and started working the soil, but it is what it is. Fingers crossed- I've never grown ginger before, so it's time to look up growing guides.

Peacock Guest Book
Commissioned by my sister-in-law for her wedding next week. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, but there was a lot of unneeded stress because of a lack if communication, and I was behind (and should have gotten to work on it much sooner). I did get to try several new things with this, like the burlap over a paper cover, and tea dying lace. I also managed to do the fancy partial glue for the end page, which I've never done before. So I'm pleased.
Approx. 9x6, 64Â pg 80Â lb drawing paper. Much love. :)
Got bored, found pretty colors. :) Finger Paints meet me at the met Finger Paints avante garde green China Glaze scandalous shenanigans Orly royal velvet Orly… Something, lost the sticker L.A. Colors something else silver, no sticker again Orly shine on crazy diamond
One nearly finished dragon tail. I'm almost done with my Toothless hoodie!! :D
Okay, finished card- didn't think I'll be able to get a picture of it, but I did. Hope my phone saved the rotation so both my pictures are upright.
Making a goodbye card for one of my coworkers today who likes to play golf. Unfinished product (trying to figure out how to fit “line drive” into “hope things go well with the new job” and not making much progress), but since you haven’t heard from me in TERRIBLY too long because of my recent move and I won’t have a chance to take a finished picture anyway, I thought I would share this with you.
Ah, shoot, posted to the wrong blog from my fickle phone on a morning I don't have time to fix it. Well, here you go. Finally made something again.

Nothing great, but it's been too long since I said hello. Traffic cone nails, a tribute to my native state of Utah.
Easter Crown, as they have become to be called, commissioned. I'm loving these flower circlets.
Finished:
Had a second flower circlet (Easter crown, as everyone has taken to calling them) commissioned, finished that so I can deliver it at work today.
Also finished the sewing of the hoodie proper of my Toothless hoodie. Still mulling over the idea of painting shiny scales, and eventually I will make the tail to be attachable. Nevermind- I forgot I have not attached the wings to the back. Otherwise it is finished. First zipper I've ever sewn all on my own! Second one ever, and it looks great! :D
Will take pictures, no promises on how quickly they will get up.
Flower Tiara (Pink, Gold, Leaf Green)
Custom request from my manager, and first one I've done. I'm still trying to decide what to do for the one that I want to make me, but right now I'm giving my abused fingers a rest. One day I'll settle on whether I consider this a crown or tiara or circlet or whatever.
Tutorial found here! :D
Stars Book
This one didn't turn out quite as well as I had hoped that it would, mostly because I finished it in a hurry. This is the book that I made for our Relief Society Service Auction- it was a lot of fun, and I got a photoshoot out of it! :D Sorry the picture of the front cover is a little blurry. :( Next time I will get mreo of the star dust in there- I did it on accident with this one when I was almost done, and didn't want to mess with it and ruin what I'd already painted.
