Sister asked me to make two last minute birthday cards for her in-laws. So today's daily doodles are the cards I spent the past hour on.

Drew a bunch of things today that can't be shared yet, so daily doodle time! Spent 10 minutes on this one since I had an idea I needed to fully realize. A friend posted a teaser of a picture for me, and the caption inspired me to finally figure out what I could possibly draw for them. Because I know my skill level and spending 10 hours on a project doesn't look much different than the two hours I usually spend on each piece before coloring, my picture's done and colored already. But I don't want it to seem like a race, so I'm patiently waiting for them to take their time and attack me before I post my picture as a revenge. Which led to this idea i just had to get out there. Mark's ready to kick ass, but Sera entreats him to wait and let the opponent aggro first. Enjoy!

Time to be a drama queen. Had to walk to work today, so this is how I was feeling like 20 minutes ago before I got to the store.

Daily doodle time! Wanted to take a break from Coral Island art a wee bit, but I couldn't think of anything besides all the art I promised people. But then a friend asked a question about books on Instagram, so I decided to go waaaaaay back to young teen Kat and take 5 minutes to doodle my first book crushes. Upper left is Jarlaxle Baenre from The Forgotten Realms, mostly in the Drizzt Do'Urden series written by R.A. Salvatore. Lower right is Talon Karrde from the Star Wars novels. Not Gale, though I see why I love Gale so much in BG3, considering these two morally grey characters I adore.

Not posting the full piece here, but in the middle of coloring Sara Tonin, the demon, facing off against Seraphina over the fate of her friends for Artfight. Going to title it "Battle of the Sa/eras." Just had to share the little lightning glare. I'm such a weeb.

So for this one, I decided to use Cillian supporting his actual sister Róisín at a concert with my Seraphina and her adopted/found family brother Galen. And yes, I'm a fan of Mawaru Penguindrum, that's where I got the inspiration on how I did the crowd.

More art. Drew these between customers today because my manager is being extra themselves today. I love my job, but Morris makes it an unbearable hellscape that makes me want to just walk out every time we have to work together. Featuring Morris from Stardew Valley, Jareth from The Labyrinth, and my OC Skylar from my Stardew Valley fic 'The Apprentice.' I'm almost finished retooling my story for reasons, so I'll have a chapter out next week of her.

Little wip before work as I forgot to post yesterday. There are some ideas I'm working on I don't want people to take from me yet. But for now, Quick sketch of a piece I'm going to flesh out after work for an Artfight attack.

Stepping off the bus, he carefully crosses the street to the garden he was told to look at the night before. Buying a ticket, her makes his way inside, wandering around looking at the flowers. Taking pictures of a few of the displays, he sends them to Fey with the caption ‘saw these and thought of you, though there's no comparison to your beauty.’ He smiles, thinking of her seeing that message when she woke up soon. He finally reaches the planter bed with the Fairy Roses and lifts his phone to try to line up a shot to send her. He's having issues getting a good angle not full of tourists like him, so he moves closer to the railing. He sighs, seeing someone leaning on the railing in his way, wind causing her shoulder length black hair to blow in her face. She raises a hand to brush it behind her ear, and he freezes. It couldn't be….

Sharing here. Loved drawing this Artfight piece for @sleepyselkiesiren of three of their OCs. The moment I saw Frank the Rubber Duck, I knew I had to create a scene around him. Tazean taking a break from the crazy world while Kailani gives him a rubber duck. Sort of mixed media, used colored pencils for most of it, and fel pens for the scale details. Lineart done as usual with micron/Copic fineliner pens.
