friend: dude that's dark are you okay?

“He’s my brother’s friend, not mine. My friends have brains they actually use.” Tommy pulled it out and passed it over. “He does all the repairs on the hunk of junk himself. He just needs the part.” And you don’t need to know that he’s got a dimension hopping space ship.

     Cooper ran his thumbs over the belt, feeling the rubber and humming- yes, it was just about to give way and snap in places. “Well the good news is, we have something similar,” he said it slowly still examining the belt- similar, but not exact. 

     Was this even from a car?

“No.” The answer’s automatic, mostly because his plans to do anything other than train have been nonexistent. “Where are we gonna go? 

“Or he’s an idiot. That’s possible too. No idea why-” He waved his hand “Nevermind. Not important. And nope. Noh just expects me to pick the right thing up. I do have the old one to compare if it helps.”

Nick was confused. He didn’t know where he was for sure, so he decided to go to the near place around, which was an shop. He found a boy in there, that made him remember of someone, but Nick couldn’t figure out who.

“Hey, I’m sorry man, but I’m little lost here. Can you tell me where the hell am I?”

          “Little Italy in Manhattan. One of the mechanic shops there- you alright? New York’s a big place, but it’s hard to get that lost.” Cooper leaned against the counter, dark eyes glittering faintly. There was something on the edge of being familiar about the kid- something just out of reach.
