the thing about next round fleet signing/protections is it was fairly clear what was going to happen the first time but now the league is sort of doing lord of the flies and i don't know which direction to be scared in. obviously from my first round picks i'd love to see eldridge stick around and i think after losing müller there's definitely a higher chance. i've also made no secret i want to see tapani stay, plus now we know she was being sought after in phase 2 there's a bit more incentive to get that signing in. and i could definitely see them becoming 2/3s of a more permanent line, god knows we need some offense and we've already seen them play together a bit. third slot maybe schep or shirley, i lean toward schep--she's a points scorer and she's solid in the dot and with mules gone and brandt retired our fow% is going to be miserable if we don't do something and her and taps would be a solid rotation in that regard

the thing i keep snagging on is that we obviously had a really strong rookie presence. i can see it being a matter of not wanting to battle it out with other teams if they're getting offers, especially with such a strong incoming draft class, but the winn protection makes me wonder if they aren't looking toward longterm development. of the rookies i'd probably put newhook as most likely just given where we were seeing her play last season and her reliability there.

anyway this is all to say i dont actually have a solid prediction because expansion is insane and anyone i think is a lock i will expect to be wearing a hat

cannot be overstated how much power an expansion team name holds in its hands in how much grace i give that team. i am on record saying we have to explode pwhl las vegas but if they lean harder into the nature angle and give us the las vegas sidewinders i'll consider retreating back to neutrality
