The Planets' Love Languages! Inspo: question from @dreamie-artsss (go check out her blog, she's awesome!!!)
Mercury: acts of service + physical touch
Acts of service: this is mostly based on the god he's named after, though I also headcanon him to be one of the system's "doctors", and he's also good at helping others.
Physical touch: he loves snuggling and will snuggle the others whenever he gets the chance. Having a hard time? Tell him all your problems meanwhile he's essentially loafing on top of you /silly. He's tiny, meaning he can lay on top of others pretty easily (don't let his size fool you, he can, will, and has manhandled Jupiter before)
Venus: words of affirmation + physical affection
Words of Affirmation: words of affirmation, but disguised as bullying /j. Stuff like "C'mon. You really gonna let that ugly fuck bully you like that? That's kinda pathetic, and you aren't. So get your ass up before I beat it π" and so on π
Physical Affection: again, in the form of (affectionate) bullying. He'll headbutt others, start play fighting (way different from his usual fighting that scares the Geneva Conventions), and occasionally... he'll HUG π±
Earth: Words of affirmation + gift giving
Words of affirmation: this man has some of the best words of affirmation to ever exist. With so many languages and cultures, it's no shock that he's able to word things in ways that feel specifically beautiful and unique to whoever he is speaking to. It makes them feel loved and heard, and will probably make them cry.
Gift giving: gift giving, but ESPECIALLY things like rocks, geodes, crystals, shells, and flowers if he can. He loves the things on his surface, they make him happy (usually)! So if he has the opportunity to gift someone something that will make them as happy as it does him? Sign him up!
Mars: Physical touch + quality time
Physical touch: surprisingly touchy and cuddly person (planet). Loves giving "big brother" hugs, the type where he just slings his arm around someone's shoulder and squeezes the crap out of them. Picking others up and hugging them from behind, head pats, hair ruffles, hand holding, locking arms with others like a gentleman, etc...
Quality time: Mars is very chill, no pun intended. He's the type of friend/partner where you would be content to just sit in a room with him, each doing your own thing in the comfort of each other's presence. Or as comfortable as it can be with Phobos and Deimos...
Jupiter: quality time + gift giving + physical touch
Quality time: VERY similar to Mars, he's very laid back (...kinda...?) and calm, and has an air of comfort around him. He's content to just sit with someone, listening to every word they say without interruption, and is genuinely interested in the conversation.
Gift giving: Y'know how in the movie Hercules, Zeus gave Hercules (HERACLES) a gift made of clouds (which he used to make Pegasus)? Yeah Jupiter LOVES doing that. He can make shapes of pretty much anything, and loves gifting it to others.
Physical touch: might be the cuddliest planet in the entire Solar System, to no one's surprise. Loves hugs, forehead kisses, cuddles, holding others, carrying others, etc...Obviously there's physical affection that he saves for Saturn and Saturn alone lol. (Another reminder to go visit Dreamie's blog, she has an amazing fic about Jupiter being physically affectionate!)
Saturn: acts of service + words of affirmation
Acts of service: Cooking, sewing, etc...he loves doing that for others!! Even more so if he's able to help the more stubborn ones (*cough cough* VENUS *cough cough* JUPITER YOU STUBBORN LITTLE- *cough cough*).
Words of affirmation: like Earth, he really knows how to make whoever he's speaking to feel loved, heard, and (positively) targeted. Will give encouragement if you're struggling, will tell you "good job!" when you finally do that one thing you were procrastinating on (*stares at my art WIPs...*), the works!
Uranus: quality time + gift giving
Quality time: idk this just...fits. If he thinks someone is having a hard time, he'll bring them to his orbit and sit with them, letting them talk about what's going on, and even bust out the art supplies as a way of helping others convey how they're feeling (or as a distraction).
Gift giving: I love how it's unofficially canon in the fandom that Uranus loves art, I think that he would love gifting art to others. A painting of pictures taken by Juno for Jupiter? Hell yeah! Paintings of Earthlings for well...Earth? Absolutely! Making sketches of potential life that Mars or Venus might have had at some point to help them cope with the fact that both are hellscapes? For sure!
Neptune: gift giving + physical affection
Gift giving: he's a very random gift giver, but his gift is always specific to whoever it's for. It could be anything from a cool asteroid to a random mystery object from the kuiper belt that reminded him of someone
Physical touch: 3rd Most Cuddly Planet reward goes to him! He would probably be fighting Mercury for 2nd place if he wasn't so far away from the others. Whenever he can, he scoops up all of his moons (even Triton!) in the biggest hug and kisses all over their tiny (in comparison to him) foreheads! Uranus is often on the receiving end of jetpack!Neptune, aka: Neptune seeing him sad and going "NUH UH" and latching on like a jet pack until the sad goes away.
