really liken the implication that shadow milk has to constantly doctor his form to look like that and if he stops he immediately turns into the fount. that's really really really funny and interesting in the way it physically parallels his mind- physically, he is Fount underneath all of his goofy magic. mentally, he is also fount, which you can coax out of him as seen in his willingness to teach mycookie useless stuff, teach truthless games and be a smartass. also he constantly calls himself fount before remembering he USED to be fount. interesting interesting

Okay so something I've noticed repeatedly about Shadow Milk is that he very obviously doesn't know or fully understand that his actions mean anything. Like, in theory he knows they do, but I think he's spent so much time believing that he's powerless to stop the pain in his own life that he doesn't realise that what he's doing is actually making a difference. He's spent so long acting as if his entire life is just a performance that, to him, it actually IS just a performance, and why would anyone get hurt if it is?
