THANK YOU?!!? It's been a good while since I had an ask on here!! I will rewatch 'Catboy and Gekko's Robot Rampage' because of your observation!! I do wholeheartedly agree that Romeo does care about his robots despite constantly mistreating them

I haven't animated in a while

from what I have gathered, Romeo is a very emotionally guarded individual. His whole thing as a character is control. He wants world domination, after all. It’s a very controlling thing if you ask me. Why does he want control? It’s implied he wants control because he lacks control over almost everything else in his life. In Romeovision, he doesn’t like people laughing at him and even goes as far as to get inside the tv, the invention he used to trap everyone in the first place with no plans on how to leave. That decision was made out of pure impluse. It’s likely a call to the show’s roots. The Les Pyjamaques books where Romeo was constantly belittled and bullied by basically everyone for his academic performance, his failures and for his looks even by the PJ Zeroes. Try as much as he might, he can’t control the way others view him no matter how much he invents, so he tries to control things like destroying the school which of course fails as per usual like seriously when does Romeo ever win against the PJ Masks?? That’s why he’s so controlling over everything. Think about it, that kid is lonely even with his robots because it’s not like he has any humans to interact on a friendly basis with. That’s probably why he builds so many of those robots to make up for the loneliness. That’s why he gets too attached to them, as much as he hates to admit it. This is implied by the line in the episode ‘PJ Robot Vs Romeo’ where he says to PJ Robot: “You chose the PJ Masks over me, that still hurts.” (this is so unnecessesarily sad omg) implying he’s still attached to PJ Robot despite knowing the other doesn’t feel the same towards him.

Robot Blizzard is one of my favorite Les Pyjamaques books of all time because of this
