Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation - Shade Y325
I fell for the stick foundation craze. Not sure why I picked this over the Hourglass one, maybe because this seemed to contain more product, or because the Hourglass seemed overhyped. (People still seem to love it, so maybe it lives up to its reputation.)Â
This has pretty high coverage. Which would be great, if it doesn’t end up looking too yellow on my face. My inability to pick my shade online strikes again. Although it blended out pretty well in the swatch above, so maybe it’s not as bad as I thought.Â
Opinions on stick foundation?
MAC - Sumptuous Olive (veluxe pearl)
Sephora Cream Lip Stains
Pink Tea (40), Copper Blush (23), Dark Forest (29)
This line of lipsticks meets all four of my requirements: nude shades, wild shades, a good formula, and a doable price. At $14, you could certainly find a cheaper drugstore lipstick, but these aren’t as expensive as many other lipsticks Sephora sells. I want to try more shades!

Lime Crime - Shroom
I tend to get Lime Crime and Jeffree Star mixed up. I mean, they both do intense and varied colors. And don’t they both have some kind of scandal or drama associated with the brand?Â
I bought this shade in a set of nude used lippies from MUABS. If this were a normal new purchase, I probably wouldn’t have picked such a brown shade. I mean, there’s a time and a place for any and all colors, but this isn’t one I reach for often. The pigmentation and formula are both winners though.
Jouer Powder Highlighter - Citrine
If you’ve heard of Jouer, it’s probably for their highlighters. (Or the liquid lipsticks.) In my case, I heard of this first, but it was always sold out! So it was several lipsticks before I was able to get my hands on a shade of this powder highlighter, but I’m very glad I did. Holy pigmentation!!!! This is just gorgeous, a new favorite. Downside is, it feels like a very fragile powder, so be gentle!
MAC - Shroom (satin)
Running out of my MAC Fix Plus AND My Skindinavia setting sprays, so I ordered this to try something new. Except, I see on the back of the container...”BY SKINDINAVIA.” Ooookay then.

Temptu x Boxycharm - Liquid Glow
Pretty obviously, a Boxycharm item. Yes, Temptu used to be exclusively airbrush makeup products, but looks like they’re expanding. Liquid products don’t tend to be my favorite formula to apply, but it’s worth trying. When first squeezed out, the highlighter looks super intense and pigmented - like any amount squeezed out will be too much, surely! But no, it blends out to be very natural-looking.
MAC - Saddle (matte)
Beautylish packages come so beautifully prepared and packed! (Yes, a gorgeous Natasha Denona product was indeed inside!)
MAC - Woodwinked (veluxe pearl)
Makeup Geek Blush pans - Infatuation & Romance
I don’t think there’s really a bad product from MUG out there... I just have these stashed in a z palette somewhere, so I should really dig them back out. Also, I am probably not the best at picking shades for my skin tone - Infatuation would likely look more like a bronzer on me, especially if I applied it too heavily! And Romance is more of a shimmering pink, although it doesn’t seem to want to photograph well for me!

NYX Cosmic Metals - Speed of Light, Electromagnetic, Dark Nebula
I love metallics. Eyeshadow and lip products, it would seem. There’s just something so fun about intense pigmentation and shimmer and shine and pops of color! (Notice I didn’t buy the pink one, though.)Â
So I’ve worn Speed of Light, and it wore quite nicely. I tried to wear Electromagnetic the other day, but I had to coat so much on my lips that by the time I was satisfied with the coverage, it felt like I had so much product on that it would slip and slide all over my face. So I wiped it off, to try another day.
Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum
Another element in my current skincare routine, Drunk Elephant’s day serum. I can’t say that this product had as immediately-visible effects as the night serum, but it does feel nice and moisturizing every morning. I think one side of the bottle says that it contains an extract from pumpkin. But I call it my face OJ - it really reminds me of orange juice! It’s partially the smell, and partially the orange-ish color. Alas, this is an expensive option, but it gets great reviews on Beautypedia for its ingredients and effectiveness.Â
