Motion for Sanctions
In the 2018 case of Castro & Co. v. Diamond Offshore Services (U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas), Castro sued Diamond Offshore Services for tortious interference after their HR department refused to issue a corrected wage statement for his client without first receiving proper documentation that he was no longer a U.S. citizen. The company asserted that they would liable for potential IRS penalties were they to do so. Castro enjoined several low-level HR staff to the lawsuit in their personal capacities.
During the lawsuit, Diamond Offshore moved to have Castro sanctioned for legal harassment, asserting that Castro filed his lawsuit as a way to harass and "extract unwarranted concessions" from Diamond, rather than with the intent to achieve any legal resolution of the matter.
The motion provides copies of emails Castro sent that showcase some of his colorful ways of communicating with his perceived adversaries and provides a general overview of his legal history.
