Nearly spring
time is flying by so fast, it’s a little overwhelming
monday, march 14, 2022 | *scribbling network diagrams on index cards as I try to figure out this assignment*
morning study session in my favourite cafe ☀️
this semester has been weird. decided to change my major last minute (aka on the final day of the add/drop period). this resulted in me only taking two classes this semester, but the upside is that I still graduate a semester earlier than I would’ve had I not changed my major!!
bio comes much more naturally to me than chem, so although I love them both dearly, I’m very happy with the change.

february productivity challenge, day 26: what's the cosiest place in your mind right now?
oooh baby probably my own bed or the floor in front of my woodstove in my living room!! both the warmest, cosiest places
today at the library i revised and submitted an abstract for a student conference and made some headway on a mock presentation for monday! i’m taking a break and then will be making some mammalogy study materials this evening!!
february productivity challenge, day 27: if you did a room revamp, what all would you change? what's an aesthetic you would like to incorporate in it?
gonna be a bit lame here and admit i’m fully satisfied with my room the way it is hahah. i’ve been working on getting it to this point since i repainted the walls about 6 years ago and i’m very happy with the results! if i could change one thing i’d make my desk bigger though :’-)
today i finished my mock presentation and worked on some flashcards! taking the evening to chill and call a friend
11.03.21 | Haven’t posted in a hot sec. It’s been a weird final fall semester, neither super amazing nor absolutely horrible (historically it’s been the latter so suffice to say I’m amazed). My working theory is that having to co-instruct a class has been super helpful for keeping me on track and from giving in to the sad.
It’s also now hitting me how much I’ve healed since beginning university. I reckon a lot of the hardship I’ve dealt with this past year would have absolutely destroyed freshman or sophomore me. So I guess if you actually read this far, this is your reminder to think about how far you’ve come. It’s worth celebrating.

October!! Time to add pumpkins everywhere, wear big chunky sweaters, go apple picking, and step on crunchy 🍁 leaves 🍁 !!! the chilly weather has been helping my motivation :)
“I do not miss childhood, but I miss the way I took pleasure in small things, even as greater things crumbled. I could not control the world I was in, could not walk away from things or people or moments that hurt, but I took joy in the things that made me happy.”

biologists will be like this is a very simplified diagram of a mammalian cell
chemists will be like this is a molecule
We're new in this neighborhood and there are tons of kids, so we have to cement our reputation as a Good Trick or Treating House™
The small bowl is for kids with peanut allergies, and I also have cans of soda for kids with other/really severe peanut allergies!
place a teal pumpkin outside your house!
