“Probably a piece of cake,” Cas said, not acknowledging her own pun and plucking a carton of eggs from the fridge.  She placed it on the countertop before returning to rummage for more ingredients.

Asagao’s cafeteria was spacious and packed to the brim with the latest in culinary technology - one of the upsides of being a wealthy private school, it seemed.  The chefs had been reluctant to give Brigid and Cas permission to be there, but it was a special occasion, so with some coaxing they’d let it slide.  It was the weekend, after all, and nobody was going to be using the building anyway.

She paused and felt her face heat with blush.  Perhaps that was a bit too personal?  Cas wasn’t always sure when the right time to share things like that were.  She hastily turned around to put the cake into the oven.

She gazed at the ingredients before her, then looked up at the ceiling.  Brigid was definitely right, the Blue Feather Club was something else, wasn’t it?  Cas wasn’t sure how to express it, but she was truly grateful to be a part of it.
