On the eve of his diplomatic marriage to an alien, human diplomat Charlie seeks one last night of freedom. In a dimly lit bar, he meets Ehosu, a captivating alien with glowing marks that change color with their emotions. Their passionate encounter leaves Charlie yearning for more, but when Ehosu learns of Charlie's impending arranged marriage, they part ways in anger and betrayal. Charlie's world is turned upside down when his wedding is postponed due to his mate's sudden elopement. As fate would have it, the substitute is none other than Ehosu. I want to start the process of publishing and promoting my queer erotic novella, but to do that, I need a title. So I decided to turn to the writing community for help.

When Charlie's wedding is unexpectedly postponed, he discovers his new mate is none other than Ehosu. Thrust into a strained relationship, they must navigate their past misunderstandings and growing feelings.

It's a queer romance, but more importantly, it's a book about life after the end of the world. The story shows that there will always be hope, there will always be love and there will always be queer people. The world of the book is totally queer-normative with no homophobia.

If it helps one person to escape unhappy thoughts, if it makes one person smile, it will make me very happy.

It’s a bad idea.

Dean realizes it as soon as he opens the door to the Roadhouse, the heat and savory smells from inside cresting into him like a wave. Christmas carols thrum loudly from the jukebox on the other side of the diner. There’s too many people, too many sounds, too many— eyes on him, slowly finding him pair by pair. His hands are already shaking, his mouth is already dry, and this was a mistake. 

But Cas is at his back, and Dean will look like an idiot if he spins around and sprints down the road, so he swallows a lump in his throat and pushes the rest of his way in. 

It’s no different from any of the other shindigs Ellen’s put on over the years; she does this every year, finds a reason for a party, whether it be Christmas or someone’s birthday or, in this case, a fifty-year opening anniversary of the Roadhouse. She usually throws a few turkeys into the broilers and cajoles everyone to bring sides like it’s some giant potluck. Dean used to look forward to it, growing up, because it meant he could pilfer rolls and scraps of turkey into his pockets for him and Sam to feast on for at least a week. (Ellen caught him once—instead of a reprimand, she wordlessly handed him a can of cranberry sauce, her eyes full of understanding.) 

Now, it’s just a bunch of people he doesn’t want to see, all crammed into a room that smells sourly like nostalgia.
