Friday is the best day to post content on Facebook, according to Adobe’s recent study of more than 226 billion post impressions by 300 brands on the platform in the first quarter of 2014.Â
Next best day to post? Thursday.Â
Although Adobe’s findings are interesting, there is no silver bullet. Listening to your fans and learning when they are most active is your best bet. Â
In your experience, when is the best time for you to reach your audience on Facebook?
Time spent online via mobile jumped from 13.4 to 23.3 percent between 2012 and 2014, while desktop and laptop use dropped from 20.7 to 18 percent in the same time frame, according to Statista.Â
The new Twitter design that is slowly being rolled out has gotten a lot of digital ink over the past few weeks. I still haven't received it on my account twitter.com/carlazanoni, but my client Magic Makers got theirs a couple weeks back.Â
Few resources have been made public about image dimensions and best practices for laying out your content, but I've done a little research and can suggest the following.Â
Resize your banner image (in this image, it's the outstretched finger) so that it stretches across the whole page by creating a 1500px width x 500px height, or at least 1252px x 626px image.Â
Your profile (the smaller box with logo) should be at least 400 x 400 px.Â
Do you have the new Twitter layout yet? Leave your URL here so I can follow you and check out your new layout!Â
Post Planner ran a great blog post today about a trick that helps you make sure you don’t miss page post updates from pages you “liked” on Facebook. With changes to the social media site’s algorithm decreasing reach, this tweak can keep you in the know.
The only problem is that most...
The only problem is that most people don’t know how to see which pages they liked. It took me 20 minutes and many failed attempts to figure out where the heck all of those pages I liked yesterday or back in the late 2000s. It’s not simple, but it is doable.
Here are your seven steps to finding pages you “liked” on Facebook so that you can actually here what they have to say.Â

You can now record audio from your phone on your Tumblr!
Tumblr says it's like the 90s all over again, I say it's more evidence of a mad mobile world.
Tumblr: "Now you can make audio posts with your phone! It's dope."
Set it up on your site.

How to Create Great Quote Cards on Social Media for FREE
Amy Porterfield recently had a great tip in her newsletter that shows you how to create great quote or call to action cards like you often see on this page, on Pinterest and increasingly on other social media platforms. Amy suggests paying for images through stock photo sites like BigStockPhoto or Morguefile, which can be great. But another FREE option is doing an advanced Google search. All you do is conduct a blank image search at www.google.com/imghp. Type in a term like "blank sun" or "blank notepad" -- whatever blank image suits you. Click the drop down menu for "labeled for commercial reuse with modification." (Check out the upper left hand corner in the screen grab above). Save the image you like (I suggest searching for "large" images) to your desktop. Then edit the image in an online photo editor like PicMonkey, saving the image at least at 403 pixels (which is how it displays on Facebook).Use the

Take 5 minutes to schedule good morning posts on Facebook or Twitter for each day of the week to greet current and potential clients and get them thinking of you first thing in the morning. Between 7:30 and 8 a.m. works best. The posts don't have to link back to your site or push a product. This is a good natured "how'ya do?" kind of post.
Extra Credit: Take another 5 minutes to attach a photo for increased engagement (remember, pictures perform much better than straight text.) Remember to credit the source of the photo! Creative Commons images search (search.creativecommons.org/‎) is a great place to find fair use photos to share.Â
Brownie Points: Use an online photo editor (like Picmonkey.com) to inlay text - quotes, tips relevant to your industry, etc. like the one at the top of this post- on a photo. Images with a small amounts of text perform are likely to be shared by engaged readers.Once you get used to the editor, you can whip up a week's worth of edited images in 10 minutes or less.Â
Ultimately, all of this prep work means you will have more time to talk to your customers while you both get a great start to your days.
