How did Isabelle know who Carol was?
Officially, Laurent probably told her.
Officially (in my mind?) Isabelle heard Daryl saying Carol's name in his sleep + Laurent probably telling her. 😅

Antonio is the penultimate romance for Carol. He represents possibility and discovery after forgiveness of oneself for all that has come before. Same as Isabelle was about self-discovery for Daryl. Antonio is not Carol's happily-ever-after.
*I say that on the premise that the show will conclude after season 4. Results may vary if we get more shows starring Daryl and Carol. 😅
Carol and Daryl have reemerged in my mind.
Dépaysant. A change of scenery. Going outside oneself comfort zone. Doing something or going somewhere foreign to you.
Daryl wants more aside from running and fighting (even though he admitted in the season 3 finale that he always feels the need to 'Go' when he hears that voice.)
Dépaysant, I conjecture, is more about self-discovery for Daryl and self-love/self-forgiveness for Carol.
There is nothing wrong with having something happen to you that makes you look at things, and circumstances and people, differently. My theory is that Carol and Daryl are going to have that dépaysant moment with each other. I really do not see what else it could possibly mean on a narrative level.
PSA: Stay Off My Page
If you are an alleged Caryler and think you have license to bully those who commit the heinous crime of having a different opinion from yours or view the show from another angle. The angle that isn't up the showrunner or actors' behinds.
Calling me out of my name will get you reported, blocked and (hopefully) removed.
I don't care if you believe the actor Norman Reedus to be anti-Caryl, anti-Carol, anti-Melissa McBride, or anti anything that doesn't center him and his beloved character, Daryl Dixon.
I get it. You think you cracked the code. That you're some unsung, woebegone prophet who's trying to warn Carylers who these people "truly: are. You pieced it all together that Caryl is destroyed and it was always by design. Okay, so show yourselves the proverbial door. Stop hanging out like a foul odor haunting the place after the body is gone.
OR
Remain on your side of the Caryl fence. Stop coming over here to pitch your "facts and findings" to an audience who enjoys the Caryl relationship and the spinoff. I am not buying what you're selling. I'm not interested in what you're selling. And if you are using my little platform to be a wormtongue to other genuine Carylers by leaving dissenting remarks on my posts, get a life. It is insane to keep interacting with people whom you know don't agree with you. It isn't my fault your food supply runs on things that can't actually be proven, so you hound Carylers like myself to make yourself sound correct. That is pathetic.
You are the delusional ones if you dislike Norman Reedus, David Zabel and the patriarchal circle of friends, but you keep watching a show they have influence in. That is the height of insanity. As though you are addicted to expressing your disdain for them. You can't get enough of it. Like that is your legit online identity now. As the kids today say, "love that for you." Here's a challenge for you to attempt at your own risk: try staying on your own page with that and leave Carylers like myself who love the Atlanta Two, alone.
You are delusional twice over if you also think that just because someone online tells me something about Caryl or the cast from a source also found online, I am supposed to, I don't know? Take your word for it. When your bias is palpable. Only a fool does that.
Lastly, criticism for the spinoff or the characters? Love it. Welcome it. I agree with plenty of it. You can't be fan of the original TWD and not have a critic's bone in you. I am not talking to the Carylers who have valid critiques of the show.
Now to the Carylers in name only,
Kindly make like a cupcake and go frost yourself.
TWD: Daryl Dixon Season 3, Episode 7: Solaz Del Mar officially *finished*. 🫡
I got one thing from this episode so far.
When Daryl confides in Carol that he is afraid of hearing that voice telling him to 'go' again once they get home and Carol responds: "Maybe you won't." Daryl looks right at Carol, long and deliberately, and replies: "Maybe".
I just know Carol is the 'maybe' Daryl is talking about. That much, I am sure of.

What do I want to happen between Carol and Daryl? Well I would love for Carol and Daryl to be sharing a home (since they already share a soul, too) and one evening, as they pass one another in the hall, Carol reaches for Daryl and smooches him right underneath his eye. And then when Daryl asks with his eyes what that was for, Carol simply replies, "for being the world's greatest Pookie," with Daryl looking after her like he wants to lie down and bare his entire belly in submission to her. 😅
I finished processing my feelings for TWD: Daryl Dixon, episode 6. In case anyone reads this, I will try to keep it spoiler-free. For anyone heading in expecting big Caryl moments — this episode keeps Daryl and Carol on their separate paths for now and that there is a romantic moment involving Carol that might sting for some. What I loved about it (and why I shared the happy sloth!) is please remember how they did this with Daryl/Isabelle in S2. These stories aren’t replacing Caryl; they are revealing Caryl. They’re showing what each of them still needs to learn before coming home to each other for good and the show is employing other characters as foils to help them do that. Before the realization hits and sinks in. Before the fear and uncertainty can be released from both of them. There’s a lot of emotional groundwork being laid here. The parallels are obvious. They are deliberate and meant to be seen.
So don’t go into tonight’s episode expecting comfort. Go in expecting context. It’s not about what you’ll see, but what it sets in motion. Think Isabelle all over again. Romantic release before the fallout of consequences from the character's choices against the antagonistic forces. Literally.
I have had a theory that is proving to be correct. Carol and Daryl are still on parallel roads that are clearly bending toward each other. This episode is proof of that if you're looking at their story. So breathe. Don't isolate the moments. Put them all together. And remember that absence and distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. We’re still on course. Hotdogs, everyone. We still got the hotdogs. 💪 🌭
I just finished watching episode 6 of TWD: Daryl Dixon season 3. I am still in processing mode. But my overall reaction is
It is an unpopular opinion. Still, I don't believe in "too close to be just friends, and too close to be lovers." I know there are couples who've been immortalized for never crossing the line from friends to lovers. However, this expression is not applicable to Caryl. I never shipped Carol and Daryl because I thought their bond was too sacred to become romantic. I ship them because I know Caryl becoming lovers would redefine romance in screen/television.
Another reason I love Daryl is that after their boat wrecked in the premiere and they took shelter in the cave, Daryl offered Carol food and drink, clearly eager to make her comfortable. When she passes on both and asks, "What if they're stranded in the middle of nowhere?" Daryl wastes no time in focusing back on Carol, by saying "it's freezing" and then wrapping an extra layer around her. He was trying to get her warm! 😭 And with the way he was making sure the shawl was completely around her with his hands, he looked like he was going to cuddle if not for the discovery of metal lodged in Carol's shoulder. Even before he knew of the injury, Daryl was 100% about Carol's well-being. And I think his gentlemanly side knew that a cave at night post shipwreck (especially after relaxing in that posh setting in England) was no place for a -to quote Daryl- "a lady named Carol". 🤭

Carol said to Antonio that he could "come with us," meaning her and Daryl. If she had said "You could come with me," or "You could come with me -and Daryl, too" or "You could come with me -Daryl won't mind," then I could say Carol sees Antonio in a wholly exclusive way. But she said to him, "You could come with *us*," meaning her and Daryl. In other words, Carol sees herself and Daryl as a unit.
One of the things I love about Daryl is that he keeps saying "hotdogs" ever since Carol started saying it. Those hotdogs Carol was saving for them. And I love how he keeps reminding her of what she wants. Because if it is important to Carol, it is important to him, too. He remembers the things she wants. I also find it so cute that she can suggest something like the "hotdogs" and Daryl always warms up to the idea. Remember he did the same thing with the acorns back in season 10 and said "we got luck on our side" because Carol suggested it first? Or her suggesting they run away together and he would bring it up afterward? Such an attentive pookie! 🥰 He never misses!
What is that I see? Bedding and a crossbow next to Carol’s bedside …
Parallels anyone?
Aww Daryl stayed right next to Carol. I see that is why she is looking down at the bedding, because she knows it was Daryl. I also see boots. His, maybe? 👀
