I've full intentions of continuing the fic, of course! I'm going through a bit of a writer's block as of lately, and mixed with everything else, i haven't had the chance to write the new chapters as I'm waiting for inspiration to strike again!
In the meantime, I've been writing/posting about the other fandoms I'm in, so that's also another reason, but don't worry! I'll try to get back to the fic as soon as I can ^^
Hey by the way completely off-topic: if a marginalized group, or a minority, is telling you you're discriminating against them, maybe listen to them instead of insisting you're not, yeah?
Little examples:
If a black person tells you "you're being racist" HEY! You're probably being racist!
If a queer person tells you "you're being homophobic" HEY! You're probably being homophobic!
If a disabled person tells you "you're being ableist" HEY! You're probably being ableist!
Sometimes you might think you're not, but minorities get discriminated against very often, so they know to recognise the signs. If they tell you you are, (and maybe even explain in what way you're discriminating) here's how you could proceed!
DO:
apologise
inform yourself
don't do it again :]
DON'T:
insist you're NOT being discriminating
consistently call them 'the queers' 'the blacks' or shit like that
keep on being discriminating
blame your religion.
If a religion is telling you to hate/discriminate against someone, then I'm sorry, but I don't think it's a very good religion :]

Donaldās family is composed of three branches. The McDuck Clan, Coot kin and the Duck family.
Coots are smaller birds that often get mistaken for ducks and while Coot can be used as a last name like how Duck or Mouse are common last names in the duckverse (like Johnson or Smith etc) I doubt that Barks and Rosa went out of their way to give them a last name without it having some biological meaning as well.
Donaldās dad, Quackmore Duck, is the son of Elvira Coot and Humperdink Duck. Now, unfortunately we donāt know much about Humperdinkās parents but weāre given enough tools at our disposal to figure enough out.
Donaldās mother is Hortense McDuck, a fiery duck from Scotland. As far as I can tell, duck is all she has.
So thatās it right?? Donald is part duck part coot??

DONALDāS PART GOOSE AS WELL
The guy who looks high at the bottom left corner of the picture there?? Thatās Gus Goose. Heās a semi-distant cousin of Donaldās related to him from his father.
Now itās implied from the family tree that the goose part for Gus came from Luke Goose which is fine and dandy and it could very well have been from him. But again, it doesnāt have to be the only source of goose in his family. (and it already isnāt considering Gladstone Gander canonically being half goose half duck)
Humperdinkās parents are unknown right?? Whoās to say he isnāt part goose as well? Maybe he got it from his dad or mom who knows theyāre not in the tree. And if heās part goose part duck, then Quackmore is goose-duck-coot mixed.
Going by all of this, we can say that Donald Duck is 2/4ths Duck, Ā¼th Coot and Ā¼th Goose.

Iām going to assume you mean the villains who babysit Louie? Because otherwise Iām confused about the question <:]
To be honest, under Goldie's strict orders, the villains keep Louie FAR away from Scrooge whenever they're nearby, but most of the time they actually schedule their attacks so they can make sure Louie is being looked after by someone who won't be involved.
After Scrooge finds out about Louie's existence, though, Goldie tells them to not bother with hiding him.
As for the fics!
My current fic series is called "The Next Right Thing," and it's the first one I made. It consists of three main fics: "A Week To Remember", "A Trip Down Memory Lane", and "The Love You Deserve."
I'm currently writing the second one, and I'm already planning a possible fourth fic to be an epilogue/collection of scenes I couldn't fit in the main fics.
My other two AUs, "A Child of Evil" and "The Ducks of Quackmore Institute," are being worked on, as well! I'm trying to line out the plot for "A Child of Evil" so that I can write the actual fic and post it.
"The Ducks of Quackmore Insititute" might not get a full fic, given that I'm mostly making it a fluffy, slice-of-life AU. I'm working on a couple of comics about it, though, to get a gist of the AU and get some practice in. Maybe I'll write some oneshots and post them in a fic along with the comics, who knows!

thinking about how backwards it is to assume that donald would ever be okay with gladstone getting seriously hurt when the revelation that he only ever thought he wanted that and will in fact risk his life to prevent it is what i consider to be his defining character moment? he is all bark and at best a nibble? his frustrated revenge fantasies donāt translate to his actions? all good donalds are relentless caretakers and protectors at their core
