Welcome Back.

Camilla was not oblivious to the words that had slipped from Carterâs mouth. It was a very conscious decision to ignore them. On a friend level, she loved Carter. The same way that she loved Mason and Lily, despite still not having patched things up completely with the latter. But in terms of romance, this side of Carter was one she had only known a few months. And the idea of being in love, the way Carter described it, terrified her. She couldnât allow herself to be so dependent on a person that she felt weak without them there.
âWe can see what everyoneâs plans are this week,â she said casually. Camilla couldnât be that girl that spent every waking minute with her boyfriend, it just wasnât who she was. She slipped her hand under Carterâs arm and then rested it on his shoulder from behind, eyes watching the window on the wall opposite of thereâs. âIâm down for a party, I need time to get back to my room and get ready though.â Camilla pressed a kiss to his chest before relaxing back onto his bed and closing her eyes. âMaybe a quick nap first.â
âWhat do you mean everyone?â In Carterâs world, only three people existed and it tended to ring true with the other three so her comment threw him off. âAre you going to sleep wedged between Lily and Mason?â It wasnât the best comment to make and in all honestly, Carter wasnât sure where the other two stood but he had never been one to think before speaking. He wasnât angry though - just confused as to why she seemed to be keeping her distance from him. Carter knew better than to ask so he didnât, opting to wrapping his arm around her waist and allowing his fingers to graze over her smooth skin. âDo you want to meet me there or did you want to swing by for a pregame first?â
