Work in progress. Really excited to share this batch of Regulans. I've been looking forward to painting an Atlas and an Awesome for a long time, and they were every bit as fun as I imagined!

Something I did learn... as much as I love Two Thin Coats, their Flare Orange leaves a lot to be desired. It doesn't work well as a base coat, as it is far too translucent. Instead, I mixed my own equivalent using 2 parts Yellow Flame and 1 part Demon Red.

It took me a while to get the snow right... thought i could make do without microballoons but they make an enormous difference.

This is also my first stab at digital camo. It's intense and I'll just leave it at that lol

This one combined a lot of techniques that are new to me. The glow on the crystal was the most difficult. Fortunately my fellow BattleTech fans helped walk me through the process, for which I am very grateful lol.

The bird on the back was hand painted, and yeah it made me sweat. It was so intimidating! I can see why some painters really don't like this scheme.
