Carric's Guide to the Unknown

Alright, this blog has been dead for a while, I have now sort of revisited this idea.  This is going to be a Xanathar/Volos like sort of combination of my homebrew races, classes, subclasses, monsters, and spells.  My current largest project is the Guardian class, but I’ve got subclasses for fighter, warlock, druid, and more.  Gonna see what I have time to post.

Posting a quick update on the next big thing to come for Carric’s Guide to the unknown.  The concept of convergence and the cycle of the cosmos, this is a way to explain the existence of the current pantheon of the Councils of Lords, and is also a really interesting setting for a campaign.  Basically what it is is like the “Big Crunch” but instead of just one universe compacting into a singularity at the end of its lifespan, it takes place across all planes simultaneously, with different planes of existence overlapping and reforming until the entire multiverse is a mere points that exists in all dimensions that no longer exist.  A singularity out of time.  When the cycle re-starts with the big bang of sorts, everything is different, the basic cosmic rules set by Aava and Zelthis (more on them later) stay the same, but the way they are applied changes, the most obvious way to see this is in the shift in gods, every time the multiverse reforms, the broad strokes are the same, but the divine magics that shape the smaller planets and planes change slightly, leading to differences in the heavens.  Next post:  Aava and Zelthis
