In the 12th season, Criminal Minds did a flashbacks episode, where JJ came home after a tough case and recounted it to Will.
Imagine the same, but with Buck and Eddie.
One of them is not on shift - injury, an appointment, whatever, and the other comes home and then tells him about the tough call. It would give us an episode focusing on Buck and Eddie, but that still features the 118 and actual calls. Oh, the possibilities.
I think I would prefer to see Buck being the one not on shift and taking care of Eddie while Eddie talks about the day.
And it would be interesting if it happened in the in between of them acknowledging there is something between them - at least to themselves, and actually getting together.
But I ain't picky 🤩
