"You wake up in an empty train car, rolling along rickety, wooden tracks. Though the windows are darkened, you can’t help but feel an odd sensation… the sensation of hope- you can’t help but feel it radiate through you. And though you’re disoriented and alone, your conviction and faith in this desolate train car is inexplicably powerful.

You feel more hopeful than you have in a long while.

Until the train comes to an abrupt stop, and suddenly the hope leaves you, filling you instead with a shaking sense of dread and foreboding that permeates your very soul. The train door opens up, and you step outside into the blinding light, only to find ?? other like-aged people in the same position as you, blinking through the light. Above you stand a looming tower, a pillar of darkness with daunting light spilling around it. The tower is shockingly cold-look, all steel and glass- it contrasts heavily with the vines wrapping around it, almost covering its entire surface. You’re so distracted by the building, standing on the lone platform, that you barely notice the only surmisable escape pulling away, rolling down the contrastingly rustic tracks.

Welcome to Arcadia.

The fight for freedom and justice is one cold and unforgiving. With the everlasting threat of death constantly looming over their heads, 25 students find themselves trapped in The Nexus, a high-tech RPG. The price for an exit ticket? Murder. With fear invoked in their hearts, there’s only one question the students have;

"Will we succumb to the orders of the hierarchy?"

Virtual Distress is a roleplaying group based on the murder mystery series Dangan Ronpa. Several aspects of the game will be brought into the group, murder, trials, and execution sequences. However, there’s a twist;

The game contains several JRPG aspects as well! Taking aspects from games like Final Fantasy, Virtual Distress guarantees exciting battles, and a heart-pounding plot. 

Explore new worlds, defeat the big bosses, travel dark dungeons and more! Win achievements for fighting, cooking and mastering your skills! Join the rp that will be the closest DR crossover to an actual JRPG video game. With twists at every turn, will you be able to go back to reality? Or will you die in this virtual hell?

Applications for Virtual Distress are open! We need several more apps in order for the group to go forward. If interested, please apply! If not, even spreading the word around helps.

We’ll have artwork, a heart-pounding plot, voice acting, fight scenes, and more! But we can’t do this without you.
