every so often I think about how important it is to recognize that some stories work the best in certain mediums and that movies are not the end all be all ideal form of media that we should all hope to be elevated to. sometimes movie adaptations are good but sometimes theyâre a disservice to the story. some stories are made to be experienced in the form of a video game and the same effect would not be had if the same story were to be adapted into a movie. sometimes an analog horror series is the perfect way of telling your story and it would lose what made it special if it were made into a movie. sometimes a story is meant to be a comic book and it wouldnât be as fun if it was a movie instead of something you could read. please please please please please recognize that comics and youtube series and video games are just as good as movies and turning them into movies has the potential of ruining the impact of the story thatâs trying to be told.

This is HUGE.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.

To be quite honest with you all I do think that aro/ace-spectrum fans in fandoms where people are desperately inventing crossover ships and humanizing non-human characters in order to have a conventionally attractive guy to ship the main character with, instead of possibly having to enjoy a story with no romance in it, have the right to refer to everyone else as cowards.

i know folks are gonna call me a pedo for this one, but i grew up seeing my mom and grandma naked. they had health issues and at times needed care and help showering. and i truly think more kids need to be shown the nonsexual reality of naked women at a young age. there is nothing sexual about my grandmothers breasts, they were simply body parts. more women die of heart attacks because people are too afraid of breasts to do real chest compressions, because they are scared to touch their breasts. the sexualization of our bodies literally kills us. i need people to be more normal about naked bodies and i'm 100% serious.
Just watched Adam Conover (of Adam Ruins Everything) make such a solid point that I think we should spread far and wide. Yes, having AI write your emails is lazy, sure, but people love being lazy. We need to really emphasize that sending AI emails (or using AI responses on social media, or publishing AI flyers, or or or) is rude.
It's rude. You're making someone take their time to read something you couldn't bother to write. You're telling them they were so unimportant you couldn't be bothered to actually take the time to say something yourself. And frankly, you're lying about it while you're at it.

It is true that people in fandom equate top bottom with dom sub and probably mean the latter when they "headcanon" the former but I also think people need to be more open to the idea that D/s doesn't necessarily get indicated from personality either. Like for example a shy person who gets pushed around easily very well might enjoy having a dominant role with a partner they trust. That can even be affirming.
