Nightmare Before Christmas Starters
âWouldnât you like to see something strange?â
âArenât you scared?â
âI am the âwhoâ in the call âwhoâs there?â.â
âI am the shadow of the moon at night, filling your dreams to the brim with fright.â
âWasnât it terrifying?â
âThere are few who deny at what I do I am the best, for my talents are renowned far and wide.â
âI have swept the very bravest off their feet.â
âI have grown so tired of the same old thing.â
âSince I am dead, I can take off my head to recite Shakespearean quotations.â
âThe frame and praise come year after year, does nothing for these empty tears.â
âOh, [Name], I know how you feel.â
âThatâs twice this month youâve slipped deadly nightshade into my tea and run off.â
âIâm restless! I canât help it!â
âBut I donât want to be patient.â
âIâve got the plans for next Halloween!â
âI canât make decisions by myself!â
âI canât believe my eyes, I must be dreaming!â
âAbsolutely no oneâs dead.â
âThis looks like fun!â
âThe monsters are all missing and the nightmares canât be found.â
âThe smell of cakes and pies are absolutely everywhere.â
âThis is a thing called a present.â
âThereâs something here that you donât quite grasp.â
âThereâs got to be a logical way to explain this Christmas thing.â
âYouâve poisoned me for the last time.â
âThese dolls and toys confuse me so.â
âIâve read these Christmas books so many times.â
âAm I trying much too hard?â
âJust because I cannot see it doesnât mean I canât believe it!â
âWhat are you doing here?â
âThe job I have for you is top secret. It requires craft, cunning, mischief.â
âWeâre his little henchmen and we take our job with pride.â
â[Name], listen to me. Itâs going to be a disaster!â
âJust follow the pattern. This partâs red. The trim is white.â
âI have every confidence in you.â
âWonât the children be surprised?â
âYou donât look like yourself, [Name], not at all.â
âHold on! Where are we going now?â
âHavenât you heard of peace on earth, and goodwill toward men?â
âWell, well, well, what have we here? [Name], huh? Oh, Iâm really scared.â
âSo youâre the one everybodyâs talking about?â
âIf you arenât shaking, thereâs something very wrong.â
âRelease me fast or you will have to answer for this heinous act.â
âThere go all of my hopes. My precious plans, my glorious dreams.â
âI sense thereâs something in the wind that feels like tragedyâs at hand.â
âTheyâre thanking us for doing such a good job!â
âIâll get you out of here!â
âBut I never intended all this madness.â
âWhy does nothing ever turn out like it should?â
âI just canât wait until next Halloween!â
âBut they said you were dead!â
âHow dare you treat my friends so shamefully?!â
âIâd like to join you by your side, where we can gaze into the stars.â
âIt is as plain as anyone can see, weâre simply meant to be.â
