Anyway I'm not gonna touch that internalized lycanphobia with a ten foot pole. Being turned by your partner is something that can be incredibly intimate as long as both parties are consenting and the one being turned is 100% sure they want it. Literally the only downside to transforming once a month is the pain, but midol works just fine. One thing about being a young visibly disabled person is that abled people just don’t want to look at you. They don’t mind the sight of an elderly person walking with a cane or sitting in a wheelchair because abled people don’t like to ‘count’ the elderly as actually disabled, because any notion that they themselves can one day become disabled makes them uncomfortable. so when they see a young adult like me walking with a cane or a limp that idea that their body can fail them at any time hits them harder. This is someone who’s *really* disabled, as a result of some tragedy rather than the natural process of aging, and they suddenly become hyper aware that that tragedy could strike them too at any time, no denying it. So they do their best to look away when they see me in public.

the upside to this is that it makes it easier to shoplift

i was at an event last night in california and i went to the bar to order wine bc wine was like, a thing, and i looked at the menu and saw i was completely out of my depth bc idk any wine names, so i turned to my right and there was a man in a gorgeous suit standing at the bar beside me and i said “do you know anything about wine?” and he said “a little, yes!” i told him i liked white and dry wines and asked if he’d order for me. he asked the server for two glasses and had one poured for each of us and then he clinked his glass on mine but he didn’t take a sip, he just watched me taste mine and then he asked what i thought and i said “it’s pretty good, but like i said, i wouldn’t know.” he laughed and told me to have a good time & i walked away. fifteen minutes later i found out he’s the winemaker.
