it took significantly less time than I thought, but I moved all my stuff to my other account in side-blog format. It's the same URL as the old one just get rid of the "-old". Consider giving it a follow if you still care.

made some minor edits. I got rid of the stupid stumpy legs and overly long torso he had. I thought I liked it, but it just looked stupider the longer I looked at it. This looks 10000% less doofy. I left the other post up for comparison.

The dream is real

I'm finally out of my teens and into an generally unimpressive age. It's scoffed at and assumed completely unimportant in terms of how much time I have left to live, but it worried me for a time nonetheless. For the last two years in searching for drastic, rapid-fire self improvement towards furthering myself along a path to a highly competitive career field, I've encountered tons of self-doubt. I've caught myself in the middle of placing expectations -no, thresholds of improvement on myself that would only allow myself to feel confident if met by the allotted time. Unfortunately as an artist, more often than not I found myself obviously lacking whenever self-assessment arose. I didn't like where I was skill-wise, health-wise, or even in terms of social status. I was, and am still objectively, a nobody in the art world. And a year ago this would have caused panic and personal crises abound, but in the past year I've learned...well...not to do that. Simply put, I've learned to compare myself to my heroes less and see them less-so as tiers to match in time, and return them to the original sources of inspiration that made me starry-eyed and fucking want to do art in the first place. I'm not worried about personal time constraints anymore is what I'm getting at. I'm pacing myself and taking life in stride. I have a job, cashflow, amazing friends, and a supportive family. I think what I'm getting at, is I'm on my way to the sort of stability I've needed for a while now. Everything is sort of starting to fall into place. I have time.

it's been a while since I've uploaded anything that was genuinely my own. But it's safe to say that I can do that now, I was a little hesitant in whether or not I should post this all the same though. This is a character of mine taking place in a much larger project that I'll hopefully make headway in in time. Say hello to Sin I suppose :O

Another facial study, this time with ladies. I don't really have much experience with drawing women so this was educational. Most of them aren't really ambitious with character design, but it was more of a study on what makes a female head/face shape...female. I think I pretty much figured out, took a while though.
