Hi ! You can call me Arisha, or Risha ! (She/her) I'm a 29 yo French bi nb/girl(??) who's struggling with english grammar lmao 😐 Sorry for the NUMEROUS typos. They will exist.
Everything I post myself is under #personal tag.
You can see my stuff in #my art and #my writing tags. I take some times to translate / write in English so bear with me :)
You can send as many asks as you wish about my OCs ; I have a #ask game list tag you can access easily. The answers are put in the #ask game answers ! (+ tag game when i am... tagged)
And if you have some ideas for something to draw with them, just send an ask 💖 You can also tag me in games, i love it !
My original DA characters under the cut 💖 (with links)
Despite them vastly being in heterosexual-looking relationships, nobody here is heterosexual lmao. 😔 I have some OC introduction posts in preparation but there's a looot I want to show you, so I'll take my time ! (Also i'm distracted and sometimes i forget)
The link directs to their respective tags if it exists.
Kallian Tabris, HoF-Rook, f!rogue, Warden-Commander of Ferelden, romanced a King Alistair in DA:O. Demisexual. They had a really difficult relationship because of all of their traumas (her origin, the blight, Morrigan's ritual) + Alistair's new title and marrying Anora + being this young. They separated a bit after DA:A ; she had a child she hid from him and that Zevran helped to raise. She's also my canon Rook and romances Davrin. Her story continuing in DA:V helped her go past her regrets and find some peace. After everything ended, she let go of her duty as a warden (because she's traumatized enough).
Marian Hawke, f!rogue Hawke who romanced a trans Anders. Bisexual. They helped a lot of mages to flee the falling Circles but ultimately also separated after DA:I, because they grew apart and Marian hated that he lied to her. She's very pro mage rights. Kallian helped them with the Circles in between DA2 and DA:I. After that, she goes back to Kirkwall and romanced Varric after a few years. They are both okay (for now ??).
Ennera Lavellan, Inquisitor f!mage quiet and joyful, but also deadly furious with everything that is going wrong with the world. Bisexual. She lost almost all her clan (because I can't make good decisions on this game) but her best friend survived. Their clan was also a victim of the Blight and she fought at Denerim with the other dalish hunters. She romances Cullen and later on builds a family of 3 with him. They are shy and very autistic (+ADHD for her) and also happy. I love them dearly.
Aodren Lavellan, m!rogue a bit cocky but fun and deadly. Gay. He considers himself Ennera's brother and bodyguard. He survived the attack on their clan and joined the Inquisition after the Winter Palace and the Adamant Fortress. Aodren romanced his beloved Dorian and later on accompanied him in Minrathous. He has 2 little twin sisters who are a nightmare to raise.
Tahlen Tabris, m!mage/warrior, fun and joyful, can't stay in one place. Probably bisexual ?? He's Kallian and Alistair's son, so a royal bastard as was his father. He has cute little pointy ears indicating his father was not as fully human as we thought. He inherited Theirin's blood, which I headcanon as being a cure / giving some sort of immunity to the Blight. Since he is born, his mother can't sense darkspawn if they are not extremely close to her. He loves dearly his big brother Kieran and his little royal brothers and sisters, is the beloved child of the Grey Warden Order in Ferelden, and has too many parental figures : Zevran is his dad, Anders is secondary dad and Nathaniel is his secondary dad-in-law. He almost hates Alistair so he's not even at the 3rd place lmao... He's very interested in technomagic and in healing magic and adopted too many traits from Zev and Anders. I imagine him joining some of Veilguard crew after the Double Blight to explore the world with them. Bellara and him will surely bond over destroying repairing artifacts. I have too many things to tell about him.
More secondary characters / those I developed less.
Nirie Surana, f!mage who helped Kallian and her crew during the Blight, became a warden after the beginning of the mage-templar war. She's a blood mage and infiltrated Clarel's mages circle during the whole Corypheus thing. She's romancing Leliana. Or trying to ?? Still didn't thought too much about it. She's the first crush of Cullen, but she never reciprocated his feelings as she is a (mean) lesbian. (Mean with Alistair, not with Cullen. Cullen was her... kind of friend.)
Charles Reeves, m!rogue/warrior and former Templar. Bisexual. Everybody calls him Reeves because there are too many Charles everywhere. He's one of Cullen's brother in arms who joined the Inquisition after the beginning of the mage-templar war and one of his lieutenants. He's happily married and the father of a little girl, and is judging quietly everyone around who is struggling to flirt with their beloved one. He only exists because I KNEW Cullen had a second in command but I couldn't find his name..... so now he has two, and they are both bullying him. I grew attached to him :(
Steph, f!mage who romanced Solas, charming, wise, but also teasing. Bisexual I think ?? She's one of my friends OC and part of my canon universe ; I'll probably show some art of her sometimes ♥ She's Dorian's and Ennera's best friend. She also hates Vivienne's guts but only because they are weirdly similar and is in an unhealthy competition with her lmao. The woman loves ancient magic and would totally be okay using blood magic... just for... science. She does not. Yet. She ultimately has 2 children with Solas. Surprise pregnancy, not fun. And I'm not even to blame !! (My friend would probably love to see someone being interested in her so if you have some questions, let's go !)

sometimes your distress does indicate you should stop and respect your limitations. at other times it's more of a baby aquatic mammal being introduced to water for the first time thing. Too bad the difference is so hard to tell.
Noooo haha don't spread racist ideals and colonizer propaganda by idolizing white european aesthetics above all else and denying the life and accomplishments of native peoples on their own lands
People have been living in the downtown area of Tucson, Arizona for at least 4,500 years. The greater Santa Cruz river valley has been occupied by humans for 12,000 years.
You see this?
That's not a river. That's the South Canal in Mesa, Arizona (Phoenix metro area).
This is a view of the East and South canals. At least half of all the Phoenix metro canals were originally built by the Hohokam (from roughly 200-1400 CE), and are still in use (restored) today.
Phoenix, Arizona actually has more miles (kilometers) of Canals total than both Venice and Amsterdam. No, really. Phoenix has about 180 miles of canals, many of which are built on ancient canal foundations.
below is an aerial view photo taken in the late 1930's of one branch of Phoenix's canal systems:
Also have the "Montezuma Castle," if you need a castle:
I don't need to look at some 12th century European castle to see age.
i think MORE characters should be rape survivors. i think more characters should be csa survivors. i think more characters should be dv survivors. i think strong and noble and attractive and charming and brilliant characters with indomitable spirits should be survivors. i think the most powerful characters in the world should be survivors. i think characters who are cultural icons should be survivors. i think victims and survivors should see ourselves in the most admirable and beloved characters around! i think we should be protagonists!!!
#‘it’s so unnecessary’ . okay . god yea this one drives me CRAZY. people will yap all day long about how it's "unnecessary" to make a character a survivor like do you think it was necessary for any of us to be abused or raped irl? was it narratively essential? did it teach the audience an important lesson? why do we, who have to justify our experiences and existences and reactions all the time in real life, also have to justify why we should exist in fiction? people act so repulsed by the thought of us. i've really fully and truly had enough of that. there is nothing so uniquely disgusting or repulsive or unspeakable about our victimhood or our survival that justifies this obsession with keeping the reality of our existence hidden
In anything I write it's about people building lives after awful things. Like almost everyone I know well. This is COMMON. This is important to include in fiction, with ideally some research behind it. Because it is so common. Almost EVERYONE I know very well. Think on that. It doesn't have to be part of the text. it doesn't even have to be overt. But when a person has been through any major experiences, good or bad, those things shape their life and who they are and their choices.

Trapped between being militantly pro-choice and deeply concerned about the erosion of abortion rights and thinking the way that people talk about pregnancy/motherhood/children on this hellsite is pretty gross and borderline misogynistic.
To expand on this a bit more, at the risk of sounding like That Guy, a lot of people on here don't seem to realize the right to choose to have children has been something that's been forcibly taken away from people as well. I live in an area with a pretty large Native population, a group that has, historically and even to this day, been subject to forced sterilization. They're not the only ones, either. Other ethnic minorities, disabled people, etc have all been subject to eugenics and had their reproductive rights undermined in the other direction to promote what dominant society considers a """pure""" population. Even a lot of the modern anti-abortion movement still disproportionally favors making more white people above all else. Saying that not having children is always the right choice and that keeping a child is always the bad, regressive choice, frankly, comes from a position of privilege. Like everything else, it depends.
Pro-choice goes both ways, and everyone should have the right and medical support behind whatever option they choose without discrimination. Simple as.
And can we please stop this over-the-top disgust over the bodies of pregnant people please please please y'all are so happy to defend all sorts of disabilities but then dissolve into a misogynistic froth when pregnancy comes up
Feel free to reblog for other people to vote. DO NOT SEND HATE TO ANYONE FOR WHAT THEY VOTED. This is merely for fun and to see what people genuinely think.
I am once again begging people to realize that AI checker doesn’t work. it’s never worked. it’s notoriously known to have flagged human-made works as AI and AI-generated works as human-made. and by feeding it people’s works, you are feeding more works to AI, because apparently the machine itself is AI.
the only thing AI checker does is harm genuine artists and people in general too.
Finally a hand sewing tutorial on a hemline that isn't just the ladder stitch! the ladder stitch disappears when you tighten it, but it's not meant for hemlines because it breaks really easily! The overlock stitch is more stable, so it holds much longer, and it won't pucker or warp the fabric!

Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as “problematic” in class and our professor was like, “That’s cool, but ‘problematic’ doesn’t really mean anything. It means that the thing you’re describing has a problem, and in and of itself that’s not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else it’s not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like you’re trying to say that this is bad, but you don’t want to say ‘bad.’ Is that right?”
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the “bad” thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, “I’m uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.”
Once we stopped calling things “problematic” and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, “that’s racist” or “that’s misogynistic” or “ew capitalism gross” out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, “Uhhh... I’m not sure what’s so bad?” and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes it’s art, and it should be full of problems, because that’s what art is.
