“So I had the unique opportunity to vacuum with both the DC65 and this Big Ball Animal+Allergy. (Note the Allergy just means you get some extra attachments, the vacuum itself is the same as the big ball w/o allergy).
I wanted to test each vaccum to see which one picked up more dirt. i preformed the test on carpet. Both bedrooms had similar amount of usage and the space being vaccumed was nearly identical in terms of sq ft give or take no more than a foot.
the 1st bedroom i vacuumed with the dc65 (i went around the floor twice), after that i then went over the same room with the big ball. this was the 1st time each vacuum had been used. i wanted to see how much the big ball would pick up after the dc65. it picked up a significant amount of dirt that the dc65 did not get.
after both vacuums were cleaned out I then preformed the test on the 2nd bedroom, but this time i used the big ball 1st and the dc65 2nd. as with the 1st bedroom i went around the room twice. After i was done vaccuming the room with the big ball i then went around the room with the dc65. It did pick up a tiny bit that the big ball had missed, maybe cause it had just come loose or my angle was different, but no way did it get near the amount the big ball had did in bedroom 1 after following the dc65.
This gave me solid evidence that the big ball was a much more powerful vaccum as far as dirt and dust collection than its predecessor.
That is the good part.
The part about the big ball i didnt like was that it is slightly bulkier and it got hotter than the dc65. the heat is noticable pretty quickly. This is a small con for me though. The most important thing is how much dirt it collects.” – By one Amazon.com Buyer
