A very rough, short comic put together in 3-4 days because I wanted to experiment a little and practice drawing cats.. The original concept spawned from a thought that I tweeted a few days ago. 

And while Kalagang is all happy being in the same hemisphere, Felix is macking on Kala’s sister(?) and friends. 

And like Kala’s father comments to her about how he’s never seen her more herself than when she’s with Wolfgang and how quietly hyperaware of her Wolfgang is, that he’s always looking at her and not in an “omg she’s beautiful way” but like in an “omg what are you thinking what are you feeling omg i want my world to revolve around you” kind of way. 

And he makes some beautiful speech about how Wolfgang “is the worst person in the world for his daughter because he’s mysterious, volatile, sarcastic, etc etc” and then adds “how he’s the only person  for his daughter because he is attuned to her every movement and how it’s like he only breathes because she breathes and he looks at her like she’s too good for him and he looks like he hates himself because he thinks he’ll never be good enough for her but he’s willing to spend every waking moment from here to eternity trying to worthy of her and her love…“ and I CANNOT EVEN.

who holds the umbrella when it rains: Kala, and Wolfgang always gets soaked because he’s not entirely under the umbrella but when he holds it, he holds it so carelessly that he might as well not be holding it all and they both get soaked and it’s just not a fun time all around.

who is the grumpiest in the morning: Wolfgang, but it’s a pouty kind of grumpy that makes Kala giggle. She usually just kisses his face until he’s in a better mood (which doesn’t take long, although he likes to pretend it does).

who worries more when the other is sick/hurt: WOLFGANG. He’s almost as bad as Will honestly. He’s threatened doctors more than once (”Wolfgang, it’s just a sprain, you don’t need to kill him…”) and he’s like the big, broody, buff version of a helicopter-mom when she so much as has the sniffles.

who plays pranks on the other: Neither of them are really pranksters, but Wolfgang is definitely the instigator of the cluster which exasperates Kala to no end but she also thinks it’s the funniest thing ever when he works Lito up to the point of near-hysteria over something stupid (“Leonardo Dicaprio doesn’t deserve an Oscar” “HOW DARE YOU”).

who is always the first to suggest cuddling on the sofa: Wolfgang may not vocalize it, but he initiates it. Kala will walk by the couch and he just grabs her around the waist and pulls her down into his lap and refuses to let her go.

who insists on creating nicknames for the other: Neither, really. Kala occasionally calls him Wolfie and he puts on a big show about how much he hates it but she knows he really doesn’t.

who drools on the other when they’re asleep: Kala, surprisingly. Wolfgang thinks it’s the best thing and teases her about it constantly and she’s always denying that it happens.

I mean the first couple of times he sees her he’s very vividly struck dumb.

And it’s all kinds of adorable obviously.
