âYeah, you must be, it was a difficult day,â he put the fork down and helped Kyle getting up and guided him to his room. âThis is my room, the bed sheets are clean,â he added as if he needed to get that clear in case Kyle suspected he wasnât that attentive of his own tidiness, yet honestly he was quite good at house keeping. Stan opened the closet and took out a couple of blankets. âGet in bed, Iâll help you cover, unless you need something else?â
âIâm good,â Kyle smiled and lay in the bed. First time in a long time that heâd sleep alone. He was hoping it would go well, but he knew he had sleeping troubles and will probably have to bother Stan later, which he already regretted. âGood night.â
âIâll be in the living room, in case you need anything,â he smiled as he covered Kyle with one of the blankets and took another for himself. âSleep well,â he said before he left, turning the light off, but leaving the door opened. Even if he was very tired, he didnât sleep right away. He prepared the couch and then went to fix himself a cup of coffee. He drank it while checking some things on the internet, using his laptop. He replied some messages to his mother and thought about telling her of Kyle, but didnât do so, since it was complicated and didnât want to hurt his friend any further in case he didnât want anybody to know about this nightâs experience.
