it's very important to me that flint always wears breeches (fastens below the knee) and silver always wears trousers
it reflects silver being a modern casual dude vs flint holding on to the more traditional menswear cuts of london. especially because pirates and sailors generally were known for wearing looser trousers because it's more practical on a ship
but flint is so used to his navy uniform even though tight breeches are more restrictive (note how one button has come undone from bending his knees in the second pic)
I also love how silver's trousers cover his peg leg in series 3 but then when he switches to the crutch, he folds (or maybe sews?) the fabric around his stump like he's not trying to hide it anymore
it's a small detail but it's so indicative of both of their characters
