I was thinking while Considering a pride piece how prevalent in my early Egg & Early Trans Years the scenario was of my peers going through the “men are awful and trash universally” rigamarole was and how much that made me feel like shit and kept me from figuring my gender out- especially when people’s response to my hurt was “oh but not YOU you’re DIFFERENT you don’t count”. Didn’t help that figuring out I was gay made those conversations Much harder, either. Leave it to a Studio Killers song about something entirely different to dredge up those feelings…

But being The Bad Guy is very on brand for me so leaning into it this one time is fair, right?

Howdy! I’ve been working on this batch behind the scenes for about a week and it’s finally done!! Mostly I’m just super excited to have gotten a full 12-adopt batch done and that I pulled through to finishing them all.

Ghost is probably my favorite band as of late, and Impera really gripped me! It’s probably the first album from anywhere I’ve listened to all the way through- I’m super excited to potentially do more Ghost album batches if people like these!

Also just in case folks haven’t seen my update post, I’ve got a new job now but the pay’s such a steep drop down I’d like to keep making adoptables to be able to keep myself afloat and save up more money to move, so I’ll be posting more adopt batches like this! Next one up should be a pride-themed demon set if we’re interested in that!

If you're on the app, immediately go to your dms and then "add friends". After the latest update they allow your contacts to find you and have that option turned on by default, so make sure it's unchecked!

This is very obviously not great for a multitude of reasons, but especially for people in vulnerable positions who do not want people in their contacts to see who they are on discord and/or know they have discord in the first place. I've also tried finding out if this is a thing on desktop but haven't been able to find any mention of it, so either it's not a "feature" (yet) or they've hidden it. Either way, stay safe, and turn off finding friends via contacts!

privacy settings inside discord itself: "you" > settings > privacy and safety > scroll down and turn off "sync contacts", "phone", "e-mail", and optionally "use data to improve discord"

App permissions via phone settings (my phone is a Samsung Android, this might look different for iOS and different Android brands!)

Settings > scroll down to apps > scroll down to discord > permissions > make sure contacts is under "not allowed"

You should still definitely double check your permissions and whether or not your contacts are synced within discord, though, because that would still enable others to find you through your contacts.
