This is important, especially for me sometimes. I often use food as form of punishment. Either binging until I feel sick, or starving until I feel sick. Or eating gluten (which I can’t have). It’s a form of self injury that I can hide better than scars and hair pulling (that’s not why I’m losing hair, I haven’t done it since middle school). The combo of binging and starvation leads to further self destructive behavior because I constantly beat myself up for weight fluctuations.
